Joy Behar says Sarah Palin’s ‘Base Doesn’t Even Read’
While pondering why Sarah Palin’s book is such a huge success with 3 other no-name liberal comedian hacks named Sandra Bernhard, Mo Rocca and Dave Attell, Behar wondered why the book was such a success since “her base” “can’t even read”. I think I saw one of these hacks on VH1 once when I was watching “I love the ’80s” or something. The liberal hacks not only went after Palin, but also the usual targets of the left wing loons; Glenn Beck, Carrie Prejean and Tea Party attendees. Colleen Raezler of Newsbusters posted a summary. Again, I rely on sites like Newsbusters, since I wouldn’t be caught dead watching crap like Joy Behar:
Bernhard claimed that people who bought Palin’s book “like to look at pictures. There’s only one on the cover, but they like to look at that picture.”
Earlier in the conversation Bernhard and Behar both claimed Palin “never makes sense.” Behar also stated, about the possibility of Palin running for president in 2012, “maybe her and Glenn Beck on the same ticket. Down the toilet, it would be great for the Democrats.”
As for Beck, Behar claimed he was an “idiot” for stating his belief that President Obama is a racist and that Beck is “kind of paranoid” and “makes people paranoid and scared.”
Behar also explained who can and cannot be considered racist. “You cannot be racist unless you’re from the oppressed, the oppressive class,” she told her panel. “The class that is oppressed is never racist.”
Beyond Bernhard telling the panel that she’s “still trying to keep [her] food down” after hearing Carrie Prejean’s view on same-sex marriage, most of the slams toward the former Miss California focused on the racy home video of the beauty queen that was released last month.
After Behar claimed “there’s no STDs involved” with a solo sex video, which is what the video of Prejean reportedly is, Bernhard “begged to differ” and insisted, “She might, in her bathroom, there might be some STDs floating around.”
“She lost her crown years ago,” quipped Mo Rocca.
Beck, Palin and Prejean weren’t the only conservatives ridiculed on Behar’s show. The panel also disparaged the hundreds of thousands of American citizens who throughout the year expressed anger at the government.
After making the sophomoric “teabagger” jokes that are now ubiquitous in mainstream media’s discussions about the tea parties, Bernhard explained the tea party dress code to Mo Rocca.
“You need to wear like a faded, acid-washed jean and some sort of American flag, you know, themed t-shirt, basically,” she said.
Perhaps these comedians could use the gift of new joke books in the New Year.
