As you have read here (and elsewhere), and undoutably heard on TV, Ben Nelson’s Cornhusker Kickback for Nebraska will get the state $100 million in assistance for its Medicaid program under provisions in the Senate’s healthcare bill. Thats what a Democrat whore of a Senator can get for his midwestern state, after the other, Mary Landrieu got herself $300 million for her state. According to the The Hill, The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) informed lawmakers on Sunday night that the section of the manager’s amendment to the Senate’s health bill would cost $1.2 billion over 10 years. Meaning, unless you are from Nebraska, you are paying for this.

US repatriates 12 Guantanamo scum, including 6 Yemenis
The US has transferred 12 detainees from its Guantanamo Bay prison camp to Afghanistan, Yemen and the Somaliland region, the Justice Department says. The BBC states that six Yemenis, four Afghans and two Somali detainees were sent to their homelands over the weekend, it said. Obama acknowledged in November that he would miss his January deadline to close down the camp.

Kos was only too happy to take up the cudgel, accusing Matthews of being “trapped in a bubble,” “not learning from his mistakes,” and warning that Matthews “has a thing coming.”

Obama back down to 44% approval rating
The latest Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that only 28% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. This is 5 points of his all time low -19 set a few days ago. However, his overall approval rating has once again reached it all time low of 44%.
Obama courting Olympia Snowe again
As Democrats continue to slander Joe Lieberman and his wife, and as Ben Nelson is waiting to whore himself for the highest bid, Obama has yet again turned his attention to Olympia Snowe (a so called Republican). According to the New York Times, Snowe attended a meeting at the White House for roughly 80 to 90 minutes on Thursday, a good portion of it one-on-one with Obama. Later, Snowe and Obama had a half-hour follow-up call.

According to Fox News, an administration official said late Friday that Obama has reached a “meaningful agreement” with China, India and South Africa to curb greenhouse gas emissions following a marathon day of talks in Copenhagen.
