Only 21% favor Ben Bernanke’s Reappointment As Fed Chairman
According to the latest Rasmussen poll, 41% of Americans think Obama should name someone new to the post and not Ben Bernanke. Only 21% of those polled think he should be reappointed. While Republicans are more strongly opposed to Bernanke’s reappointment than Democrats and adults not affiliated with either of the major parties, not all Democrats want him back. You have probably heard how “Democrat Socialist” Bernie Sanders of Vermont is even against Bernanke’s re-appointment.

In an interview with Neil Cavuto yesterday, Phelim McAleer was wearing a polar bear costume with a sign where is Phil Jones? Jones was the director of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) and step;ed down pending investigation of climate gate. During the interview with Cavuto, Phelim McAleer was forced to raise his voice above the shouting left wing nut environmentalists behind him. Gary Johnson the next Ron Paul?
Like many of us, Gary Johnson is mad as hell. He’s pissed at the out of control deficit, angry over what’s happening in the Middle East, and of course angry about a cap and trade. So who the hell is Gary Johnson? Gary Johnson served as the Governor of the State of New Mexico from January 1995 to December 2002, serving two terms in a state dominated two to one by Democrats. According to his website, he was ranked among the nation’s seven top governors in each of the Cato Institute’s fiscal report cards between 1996 and 2002. Also under Gov. Johnson’s administration, New Mexico experienced the longest period without a tax increase in the state’s history, the rate of growth in the state government was cut in half, half of the state’s prisons were privatized, state Medicaid was shifted to managed care, and the state was left with approximately one thousand fewer employees (with no firings) and a budget surplus. He’s also running for President in 2012.

Though after yesterday’s news of Rahm Emanuel threatening Nelson to put Nebraska’s Offutt Air Force Base on the BRAC list we’ll see if he really stands by this statement. According to Politico, in an interview Thursday with a Nebraska radio station, Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) said new compromise language on abortion funding is unacceptable.
“As it is right now, without further modifications, it isn’t sufficient,” Nelson told KLIN radio in Lincoln, NE.
Pelosi says rallying votes for troop surge in Afghanistan will be Obama’s job
Once a witch, always a witch. I’m going to assume there is already enough votes in the House for Obama’s Afghanistan “surge” of 30,000 troops (only 75% of the mid level plan his general requested). If there aren’t enough votes yet, Obama better not rely on any help of gathering votes from Nancy Pelosi. Today this letter was delivered by American Principles in Action to the offices of Senators on the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. This committee has oversight over the Department of Education which employs Kevin Jennings.

Earlier The Weekly Standard mentioned it was in fact the threat came from Rahm Emanuel, but they’ve since updated their post mentioning it just came from the White House. IF any only IF this is in fact true, this smells like treason to me!

Howard Brush Dean isn’t exactly a big fan of the current state of the Senate version of the ObamaCARE bill. Despite it being a government takeover of 1/6th of the U.S. economy, The Plum Line reports that Dean wants the Senate to kill the version of the bill. Dean says:

Obama: ‘Cautiously optimistic’ on health care bill after warning Democrats that this is America’s last shot at universal health care
After emerging from a meeting with Senate Democrats Tuesday warning them that this is the “last chance” to pass comprehensive reform, Obama emerged from the room claiming he was “cautiously optimistic”. Joining him were Chris Dodd, Harry Reid and a smiling Max Baucus. I don’t know if Baucus’s girlfriend paid hi a special visit during the meeting or not. According to Politico, Obama said Tuesday he’s “cautiously optimistic” that the Congress can pass a health care bill that meets his criteria for reform, but acknowledged after meeting with Senate Democrats that “there are still some differences that have to be worked out.”
