CNN seems to think that Haiti’s population being 95% black is significant with the earthquake and relief efforts

When you first heard about the horrible disaster in Haiti with the earthquake, did it ever occur to you that the population in Haiti is 95% black? Would you have even cared for one split second if this thought was raised? Me neither. Yet CNN seems to think that this is something of interested.
