Nigerian muslim crotch bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab indicted on six counts by grand jury
According to Fox News, Nigerian Muslim terrorist and crotch bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has been indicted by a grand jury for his attempt to blow up a Detroit-bound Northwest Airlines flight on Christmas Day.
The six charges against include attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted murder. The indictment was filed Wednesday.
Authorities say the 23-year-old Abdulmutallab was traveling to Detroit from Amsterdam when he tried to ignite an explosive aboard the airliner. Passengers pounced on him and prevented disaster.
He is being held at a federal prison in Milan, Mich.

North Dakota Democrat Senator Byron Dorgan announces retirement!
Big news here. Another Democrat retires before the 2010 elections. This one is significant because its Byron Dorgan of North Dakota. A poll last month by Rasmussen showed that should current Governor John Hoeven run against Dorgan, he would crush him. However, Hoeven didn’t run, Dorgan would crush Duane Sand, who has already announced for the race, 52% to 37%. Duane Sand is a Naval Academy graduate and Navy veteran, ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 2000 and for the House in 2004. Here is Dorgan’s announcement:

Who knew Hawaii was a loony as California or Vermont? According to the Honalulu Adviser, Senate President Colleen Hanabusa wants Obama’s Aug. 4 birthday to be a Hawaii state holiday, right up there with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana’ole Day, King Kamehameha I Day and even Christmas. Yes, the President that is approaching *ONE YEAR* in office, has lost more jobs than any President since World War II, a President who makes Jimmy Carter look strong on security issues apparently deserves his own holiday in one state.

According to a congressional source, who was granted anonymity to speak about the ongoing investigation into porous security at the White House and the Washington Post, the third party crasher is identified as Carlos Allen, a D.C. party promoter who runs an event space in Mount Pleasant. The source saw Allen’s name in official e-mails and documents pertaining to the Secret Service probe. Allen, 39, did not respond Monday to repeated e-mails and phone messages. WaPo spoke with him last month regarding a comment he made to a blogger about having attended the state dinner; in the brief exchange, he denied knowledge of anything to do with the dinner. As if this wasn’t bad enough, the so called “most transparent White House ever” knew about the third crasher since mid-December!
“This individual went through all required security measures along with the rest of the official delegation at the hotel,” according to a statement released by the Secret Service. “At present, there is nothing to indicate that this individual went through the receiving line or had contact with the President or first lady.”
Independent war correspondent Michael Yon arrested at Seattle airport for refusing to say how much money he makes!
Is this supposed to be the way America is protected from muslim terrorists now? No word yet if Yon’s crotch was searched. Michael Yon is an American author, independent reporter, columnist, photographer, and blogger. He served in the Special Forces in the early-1980s, one of the youngest soldiers to pass the Green Beret selection process, and he became a general freelance writer in the mid-1990s. He focused on military writing after the start of the in Iraq. Yon has been embedded on numerous occasions with American and British troops in Iraq, most prominently a deployment with the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment (Deuce Four) of the 25th Infantry Division in Mosul, Iraq that ended in September 2005. Now, Yon has suddenly been arrested at Seattle’s airport for what he describes as “refusing to report how much money he makes!” I kid you not. Obama now attacking UK, accuses Downing Street of making ‘a mistake’ over intelligence claim
According to the UK Telegraph, the White House is now accussing Downing Street of making a mistake over allegations that Britain told American intelligence agents more than a year ago that the Detroit bomber had links to extremists. The Prime Minister’s spokesman had indicated that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was named in a file of people based in Britain who had made contact with radical Muslim preachers. The file was sent to the US authorities in 2008 (during the Bush days). But the White House sources are now disputing the Downing Street account, stating that it was a mistake and no such intelligence information was passed by Britain before the attempted Christmas Day attacks. The White House declined to respond officially.

Nigeria and CAIR start whining about new US flight checks
The US government announced today that travellers from 14 countries, including Nigeria, Iraq and “PolkeStahn” aka Pakistan are to be subjected to extra checks including body pat-downs after muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was accused of trying to blow up a US jet on Christmas Day. Abdulmutallab’s home country of Nigeria is now whining that the new security measures for passengers flying to the United States are “unfair” and said they amounted to discrimination against its 150 million people. Peter King may run against Kirsten Gillibrand for New York Senate seat
According to The Hill, Congressional Republican Rep. Peter King (New York) signaled Monday that he is reconsidering his decision not to run for Senate in 2010. King said he’s actively looking at a run for statewide office this year after he’d ruled out such a campaign last summer.
“Actually, I am looking at it — you know, a lot of people have come to me,” King said during an appearance on “Imus in the Morning” on the Fox Business Network.
