i am completely against colbert’s use of the word retard in referring tio palin!

that word should not be uttered in any context.

she’s a f**king joke. a f**king idiot. a f**king lying, opportunistic, greedy, beyhotch.

but to call her a retard is both undignified and unfair to mentally challenged people.

Really guys. First off Colbert is a comedian his hilarious and has a peabody for his show obviously that means something. Secondly He called her on her political agenda, she should have been smarter about it. Sometimes you have to just say dang he caught her on it. You can’t condemn Rahm Immanuel and let Limbaugh run with it cause it “satire”. And thats what Colbert did he called her a F—-ing retard… Its satire so she has put herself in the position where she can’t say anything because she defended Rush on the satire defense. Now on the Feminist Organizations coming to here rescue or not I don’t see a need for it she’s a grown woman that was called out on her bs. Colbert didn’t demean her or anything. Whew well thats all for now.

Colbert isn’t a comedian: comedians are funny. Colbert is a guy with a sissy French name. The only hipocrisy and fraud Stephen Colbert exposes is when he disrobes in front of his gynecologist, or Jon Stewart in the dressing room.

You totally miss the point. The entire meaning behind the segment was that colbert phrases it in a “satirical manner” the likes of which was used as a defense for rush limbaugh. Personally I think they were both wrong.

At some point you have to wonder how many gaffs you are going to allow from a person who represents you, be it on the left or the right.

While it’s probably true that NOW would be more likely to come to the aid of a woman, even then it wouldn’t have been a major frenzy. This is a guy who holds the 11:30 slot on Comedy Central, do you expect to chat about doilies?
Or maybe some conservatives (not all) are desperate to bring down a man who exposes their hypocrisy and fraud every night.
