Joseph Andrew Stack is a terrorist as far as I’m concerned

In the aftermath of Joseph Andrew Stack setting his house on fire with his wife and daughter in it, then flying his plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas, all i’m hearing now from both sides of the political spectrum is he’s a RIGHT WING EXTREMIST, or he’s a LEFT WING EXTREMIST, etc. His manifesto is available at the Smoking Gun, and you can decide for yourself whatever type of “extremist” he is. Regardless of side of the political spectrum this guy was on, as far as i’m concerned, he is/was a terrorist! What’s the difference between a muslim who’s goal is to destroy government buildings and kill people, and a white guy doing the same thing? The answer: Nothing!

The FBI’s statement was just bureaucrat-ese. “We believe there’s no nexus with criminal or terrorist activity”

nexus (n) the means of connection between things linked in series; a connected series or group

They were trying (clumsily) to say that it’s not part of a terrorist plot – it was one of those “lone-wolf” domestic terrorist acts that the right wing got all up in arms about the FBI acknowledging. It’s still terrorism. They just managed to confuse everybody because after a few years in the government, you stop speaking English.

I just read Mr. Stack’s 6 page manifesto and to me he’s anything but a right wing extremist or tea party member. In fact he attacks ex-President George W. Bush pretty vehemently. That doesn’t sound like a right winger to me. In a way, most of what he wrote is true and correct. I feel bad that he had to go trough what he did. I just wished he had given notice to the people working in that building what he was going to do simply because they didn’t deserve to be victims of his progressing mental illness brought on by years of being hounded by the IRS. Sounds to me like he was just an ordinary hard working man who wanted better for himself and his family. I won’t criticize him. I will criticize going after innocent people who are mere clogs in the machine. Charles Rangel has tax problems yet doesn’t seem to be chased by the IRS like Wesley Snipes or Joe Stack were. We should all be mad at the power the Federal Government with its tool of the IRS have over all of us. If anyone can’t see what obama and his minions are trying to do to us, than I have a bridge I could sell you for a cheap price in New York City.

And one other thing I neglected to mention and I feel very passionately about it, “Fire Andrea Mitchell.” And while we’re at it, Olbermann, O’Donnell(both Norah & Lawrence) Maddow, Matthews and Shuster….please!
