Support for Israel in U.S. at 63%, Near Record High

As the Obama administration continues to abandon its support for Israel 63% of Americans say their sympathies in the Middle East situation lie more with the Israelis than with the Palestinians. According to Gallup, Fifteen percent side more with the Palestinians, down slightly from recent years, while a combined 23% favor both sides, favor neither side, or have no opinion. As usual, its Democrats who have the least favorably view towards Israel at 48%, while Republican support is at 85% today and independents support of Israel is at 60%.
