Tavis Smiley would “take a bullet” for Van Jones

vanjonesJust think. Your tax dollars are paying for the salaries of nut jobs like Tavis Smiley to work for PBS. Interviewing and trying to rehabilitate the image of scum like Van Jones is pretty damn pathetic, even for liberal biased PBS standards. Proclaiming you would “Take a bullet” for a scum like Jones takes the cake. Yet what might have been lost in this entire interview is that Van Jones apparently thinks the that Obama “volunteered to be the captain of the Titanic after it hit an iceberg!” Here is a direct quote from the PBS website during the interview from Jones.

This man (Obama) stood up and volunteered to be the captain of the Titanic after it hit the iceberg, okay? (Laughter) And we’re still floating – and we’re still floating, that’s the miracle.


Newsbusters (via that same PBS site) has the transcript of the interview. The usual blame Fox News and Glenn Beck liberal progressive talking point is spewed over and over again. The interview also includeds the outrageous statement by Tavis Smiley

SMILEY: When you told me that you were going to go inside the White House, I didn’t want you to – I believe in supporting friends and you know I love you, would do anything – would take a bullet for Van Jones.
