The Dalai Lama and Obama finally met for the first time at the White House today, despite the furious protests from China.The two Nobel Peace Prize winners seemed intent on keeping the meeting low-key, in order avoid worsening tensions between the U.S. and China. But according to the Daily Mail, the Dalai Lama was forced to leave left via a side entrance where garbage bags were piled up. The White House didn’t release photos of the meeting until several hours afterwards.

It must be great being a Democrat/Liberal/Progressive having the media cover up any and every gaffe you make. Had a conservative made this gaffe, it would be front page news on every news paper, and run 24/7 on the liberal biased news networks. The latest example is the Associated Press. After eating lunch at a Saginaw restaurant and touring he Thomas Township headquarters of Hemlock Semiconductor Group, the AP quoted Biden as saying this:
“I absolutely refuse to accept the notion that the United States of America is not going to lead the world economically throughout the 21st Century,”
Problem is, what actually said was
“I absolutely refuse to accept the notion that the United States of America is not going to lead the world economically throughout the 20th Century,”

On the one year anniversary of the signing of the $787 porkulus bill that has proven to be a complete and utter failure, Joe Biden asserted in an interview Wednesday that taxpayers have “gotten their money’s worth” out of the $787 billion stimulus program that Congress passed during the depths of the recession, according to the AP.

Today Obama signed the so called pay-go legislation passed by the Democrats in Congress which also raised the debt limit by $1.9 trillion to over $14.3 trillion. Shortly after signing, Obama and the Democrats are trying to find ways around it the pay-go already according to The Hill.
House and Senate Democrat near deal on ObamaCARE before summit
There has been rumors of a deal in the works, yesterday four Democrat Senators sent a letter to Harry Reid asking him to use the nuclear option aka reconsiliation to pass a public option, and now this. According to The Plum Line, House and Senate Dem leaders are in fact edging towards reaching a deal on a health care reform package to take to next week’s big summit, leadership aides said, though it remains a steep uphill climb.
CNN Poll: 52% say Obama does not deserve a second term in office
In a new CNN poll, entitled Anti-incumbent fever at record high the stats reveal that only 34 percent feel that current federal lawmakers deserve re-election, with 63 percent saying no. Despite this 51 percent still feel their member of Congress should be re-elected. As silly as this stat appears to be, this happens to be an all-time low in CNN polling. 44 percent say their representative doesn’t deserve to be returned to office in November. The most interesting finding in this poll though, and conveniently buried near the end of the story is that 52% of those polled don’t believe Obama deserves a second term!

Senate Republicans will lay out a 10-point election year agenda this spring, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) suggested on Tuesday morning to The Hill. According to the New York Times (which leaked yet another supposed to be secret security story) and Gateway Pundit, The Taliban’s top military commander was captured several days ago in Karachi, Pakistan, in a secret joint operation by Pakistani and American intelligence forces, according to American government officials. The commander, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, is an Afghan described by American officials as the most significant Taliban figure to be detained since the American-led war in Afghanistan started more than eight years ago. He ranks second in influence only to Mullah Muhammad Omar, the Taliban’s founder and a close associate of Osama bin Laden before the 9/11 attacks. No word yet if he was read his Miranda Rights 50 minutes after being interrogated.
