Like it or not America, here comes ObamaCARE via reconciliation

obama-doctor-jokerToday Obama “officially” confirmed that he wants the Senate to use reconciliation procedures for a final vote on health care.

“It deserves the same kind of up-or-down vote that was cast” on welfare reform, SCHIP, COBRA and the Bush tax cuts, Obama said, “all of which had to pass Congress with nothing more than a simple majority.”

This despite the fact the vast majority of Americans don’t want this bill. The new term Obama is using is the “up and down vote“. Kinda like renaming the second stimulus bill the “jobs” bill. Obama wants the House and Senate leadership to schedule health care votes “in the next few weeks,” (aka before he leaves for Indonesia). And he said he plans to do “everything in his power” to argue for reform “from now until then.”
