House Budget Committee approves ObamaCARE reconciliation bill
Expected to pass the House committee, the ObamaCARE reconciliation bill did pass Monday 21-16 which brings the actually House vote on the bill one step closer. All 14 Republicans on the committee voted no, and 2 Democrats voted no. 21 Democrats voted yes to move the bill forward. That panel is expected to meet Thursday to draft new language for the reconciliation bill, compiling a package of fixes to the $875 billion measure that passed the Senate on Christmas Eve. The two Democrats voted with all 14 Republicans to reject the effort to proceed with the Democratic strategy. Rep. Chet Edwards (Texas) and Allen Boyd (Fla.) both voted against the House health care bill last fall, according to the Washington Post.
