According to John Conyers, the non-existent ‘Good and Welfare Clause’ authorizes Congress to force Americans to buy health insurance

john_conyersMichigan Democrat John Conyers, husband of corrupt, jailbird Monica Conyers who was recently sentenced to 37 months in jail says Congress has the right to order you to buy health care insurance because of a clause that doesn’t even exist in the constitution. John Conyers is chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Chairman and CNSNEWS posted the video of Conyers’s claim.

Conyers said: “Under several clauses, the good and welfare clause and a couple others. All the scholars, the constitutional scholars that I know — I’m chairman of the Judiciary committee, as you know — they all say that there’s nothing unconstitutional in this bill and if there were, I would have tried to correct it if I thought there were.”

The word “good” only appears once in the Constitution, in Article 3, Section 1, which deals with the Judicial Branch, not the powers of Congress. Article 3, Section 1 says in part: “The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.”

    Conyers is an idiot. Not because he doesn’t know anything about the Constitution, but because he thinks WE don’t. Any one with an IQ above room temperature can look it up on line. It’s very easy reading, takes about an hour, including the Bill of Rights. While you’re at it, throw in the Declaration of Independence. That only adds about another 30 minutes. Compared to that worthless scree that congress just passed it’s a walk in the park.

    Imagine, up to now, the most dynamic, progressive, economically powerful, not to mention just plain powerful nation in the worlds history has a foundation that takes about two hours to read. While that pile of dreck the Crats railroaded through takes weeks for an army of lawyers to understand.

    What have we done to ourselves? How did this happen? Do any of you left wing morons even have an answer? An answer that does not involve “Potty Speak” and insults regarding race, religion or sexual prowess? Anything?
