Eric Massa to retire amid allegations he sexually harassed a MALE staffer
Another perverted Democrat bites the dust! Eric Massa, who represents New York’s 29th district will not seek reelection — after only one term in office. Its certainly not from old age, or the fact Massa wants to spend more time with his family. Instead, Massa wouldn’t seek re-election because the House ethics committee has been informed of allegations that Massa, who is married with two children, sexually harassed a male staffer! By the way, this is a district that McCain won in 2008, and Massa won with only 51% of the vote in 2008. According to Gateway Pundit, House Majority leader Steny Hoyer knew about the sexual harassment issue last month! Politico asked Massa about the allegations:
Asked about the sexual harassment allegations, Massa said: “When someone makes a decision to leave Congress, everybody says everything. I have health issues. I’ll talk about it [later].”
Charlie Rangel takes temporary “leave of absence” from Chairman’s seat of the House Ways & Means committee
Cowardly Charles Rangel wouldn’t even take any questions about why he is taking his “temporary” leave of absence, or about anything else. Rangel also said:
“I also would like to say that, from the very, very beginning, I had offered this to Speaker Pelosi.”

House Republicans Mike Pence and Jeb Hensarling propose federal spending limit amendment to no more than 20% of GDP
The Wall Street Journal article op-ed written by Pence and Hensarling cuts off for me. Hotair has a snippet that doesn’t:
This amendment would limit spending to one-fifth of the economy (our historical spending average since World War II). The limit could only be waived by a declaration of war or by a two-thirds congressional vote.
As with other constitutional amendments, Congress would be given the authority to enforce and implement it. But for the first time, the federal government would have a limit on its size and scope. The Spending Limit Amendment does not promise a particular spending plan about what programs to restrain and by how much. Rather, it puts a legal constraint on lawmakers present and future.
Some will say it should not be done now. But if not now, when?
Our spending problems are tantamount to generational theft and fundamentally alter the American ethic. We cannot have both unlimited government and unlimited opportunity.

Democrats, who are obviously very worried about their elections come November are jumping on the dump Rangel bandwagon! Rangel suffered a significant blow Tuesday afternoon when Rep. Artur Davis – a member of both the Ways and Means Committee and the Congressional Black Caucus who’s running for governor back home in Alabama – issued a statement in which he said the chairman “should do the right thing and step aside.”
Another Democrat member told POLITICO Tuesday night:
“I think Charlie should do the right thing and step down. We expected that out of Tom DeLay. He should do the honorable thing … There’s no double standard. “

I also have no problem with those who are very religious and don’t get offended by people celebrating Christmas, Easter, etc. I also have no problem with people who are atheists (as long as they don’t try and force their view on others.). Collecting more than just the bible, this group accepts anything containing religious text. In return, students ages 18 or older receive pornography, according to Fox Phoenix.
GM to recall 1.3 million cars over Cobalt, G5 power steering complaints!
So it was only Toyota huh? Not so fast! According to the Detroit Free Press, General Motors said tonight it will recall 1.3 million cars in North America to replace a power steering motor that could fail, following a federal probe launched in January. Did any of you ever hear about the federal probe in January? I never did. I bet you wouldn’t hear much about this recall from the lame stream media either, and certainly there wouldn’t be the outrage from Congress over this, like Toyota got either. Why? Because Obama owns Government Motors!
White House begins excuse making for upcoming bad February jobless figures
The job numbers for February to be released on Friday are expected to be bad. Some reports (though not verified) say as much as 100,000+ jobs may have been lost during the shortest month of the year. Regardless of what the numbers end up being, the Obama adminstration already has its excuses ready. According to Reuters, White House economic adviser Larry Summers said on Monday winter blizzards were likely to distort U.S. February jobless figures, which are due to be released on Friday.

More bad news for Obama, from left wing biased PPP. Obama now has a negative approval rating in every state he flipped from the Bush column to his in 2008. In each of these states, his level of support is now in the 44-46% range. This even includes so called “purple” states, or states that typically will vote for a Democrat for whatever reason, such as Iowa and New Mexico.

According to The Hill, Tax increases may be necessary to rein in $12 trillion in federal debt, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Monday. Hoyer emphasized the need to reform Social Security and Medicare, but also made it clear that raising taxes will have to be on the table.

On February 18th, with one minute left of his San Francisco Bay early morning talk show on KSFO 560-AM, conservative radio host, Lee Rodgers, received his pink slip without warning for refusing to. “…say nice things about Muslims.” Rodgers, who was a 25 year veteran of ABC Radio and a 15 year veteran at KSFO with his highly rated and profitable Lee Rodgers Show, was in the normal process of renegotiating his contract for renewal in July when he was fired. So much for the “most ethical congress ever” and “draining the swamp” by Nancy Pelosi. On ABC this past weekend, Nancy Pelosi, said that Rangel’s participation in the corporate-sponsored trips wasn’t something that had “jeopardized our country in any way,” and she made it clear that she has no intention of taking away Rangel’s chairmanship unless and until the ethics committee determines that he’s guilty of a number of ethics violations it’s currently investigating.

Tommy Thompson, a former Republican governor and Cabinet official of Wisconsin, has been sending new signals to the party faithful in recent weeks that he may jump into the Senate race against Sen. Russ Feingold this fall, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I don’t know if Thompson is a RINO, but a RINO would certainly be better than flaming liberal Russ Feingold, BTW, according to Rasmussen polling, Tommy Thompson leads Feingold for the Senate race 48% to 43%.
