Lance Baxter aka “D.C. Douglas” aka the GEICO announcer fired for calling Tea Partiers retarded and murderers

Don’t worry, the GEICO Gekko is still there. But the voice who ends the Geico commercials with “15 minutes can save you 15% or more on car insurance” is toast. The loser’s name is Lance Baxter. He also goes by “D.C. Douglas.” Baxter was so arrogant or just plain stupid enough to use his highly recognizable voice and leave a voicemail with Freedom Works asking how many of its members were “mentally retarded” and what the response would be when a member inevitably killed someone. It would be so easy for this progressive liberal to not have done this, even a caveman could have not done it! Expect Lance Baxter, aka D.C. Douglas to get a voice over gig with either the Center of American Progress or MSNBC soon.

I promised my tea party friends that you wouldn’t publish my comments, so we shall see (I’m even helping you prove me wrong). This has been a debate on my Facebook page and even my tea party friends had to admit that a movement that is basically promoting personal freedom and free speech is pretty lame to call and complain to somebody’s employer about a phone call (albeit a rude one, however not threatening) that they made on their own personal time. It was not handled in a way that makes Freedomworks look much better than Lance. Just sayin’.

Ok, that wasn’t inflammatory in any way, shape of form.

    Good day!

I was reviewing the feature on Youtube about the Geico voice-over talent Baxter cutting off his own *@lls by recording a hate-filled set of remarks on the FreedomWorks voice-mail. What a COMPLETE IDIOT!!! I am glad the hate-filled Leftist lost his gig with the Geico client. (not an employer…I know about this biz…been in it for a few decades, and have worked with the Geico ad agency) FreedomWorks did NOT call Baxter, he called them…get it???? The folks at FreedomWorks did exactly what they should have….just publish it and notify the Geico client. Ad clients HATE controversy, trust me, I know….so they ended their relationship with the dope. Oh well (ha ha) that is why they call it “showbiz.”

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences. Had he expressed his opinion professionally and respectfully, he would still have the GEICO gig. If you show your a#$ be prepared to get it spanked.  I equate this type of mind set to a spoiled child who misbehaves and then complains about getting punished. What is up with these people who want to do whatever they want and all others be damned? Grow up and and use some common sense and courtesy.
