More of the hopey changey BS from the arrogant one. Obama on Thursday told a rally of supporters in Florida
“the change you fought for is beginning to take hold.”
No mention though of “fundamental transformation” though. This is of course the same speech he gave when he had the audacity to say that Tea Party members should “thank him” for their “tax cuts”. According to UPI Obama spoke to a crowd estimated at about 1,000 at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. Obama said the U.S. economy is growing after a period of contraction and banks have repaid the federal government much of the money used to bail them out of a meltdown in 2008.

Jones, came in the midst of an intensifying effort inside the Pentagon, the White House and the intelligence agencies to develop new options for Obama. They include a set of military alternatives, still under development, to be considered should diplomacy and sanctions fail to force Iran to change course.

Obama’s terrorist pal Bill Ayers and demented student Meg Lanker are suing the University of Wyoming
Poor little baby Bill Ayers. He didn’t like it too much when the University of Wyoming banned the former 1960s radical terrorist and Obama buddy from speaking on campus. Neither did a student named Meg Lanker apparently. These two nuts didn’t like it enough to file a lawsuit against the University because of this. Ayers Meg Lanker filed their lawsuit on Thursday, asking a federal judge to issue an injunction and allow the lecture. The lawsuit alleges the ban violates free speech rights and the freedom to assemble. And here is Meg Lanker (via it’s Facebook page). This would make Meg Griffin proud.
Nancy Pelosi says: two pillars down, one to go for Obama’s America ‘blueprint’
According to The Hill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the Democrats are one bill away from completing President Barack Obama’s “blueprint for American prosperity.” Is this the sort of “fundamental transformation” thing Obama was saying on the campaign trail?
“We have passed two of the three pillars in the historic healthcare and education reform and are working towards a clean energy and climate agenda in Congress,” Pelosi said in her remarks to the California Democratic Party state convention in Los Angeles on Saturday. “And essential to prosperity for middle-income Americans is reining in Wall Street.”
“The House has passed Wall Street reform, and working with our colleagues in the Senate, we will ensure that never again will those who are reckless on Wall Street make people jobless on Main Street,” she said.

Uh oh. White House Press corps has special meeting with Gibbs to air “grievances”
We all wonder when the honeymoon well end between the White House and the press corps. Lately they’ve been complaining about whining about being left out of stories, or certain members of the press getting behind the scenes info for books they plan on writing (Chuck Todd is a good example). So according to Politico, The worst White House Press Secretary in modern history Robert Gibbs met with a delegation from the White House press corps for 75 minutes on Thursday in an effort to improve frayed relations between the two sides. Ed Chen, a White House correspondent for Bloomberg News who is president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, said he asked for the meeting “to clear the air because in my 10-plus years at the White House, rarely have I sensed such a level of anger, which is wide and deep, among members over White House practices and attitude toward the press.”
Violent left wing extremists John Durajczyk and Steve Belosi threatened and attacked elderly protesters at St. Charles, MO Tea Party
Gateway Pundit has very disturbing news about left wing nuts attacks at Tea Parties near St. Louis (in St. Charles, MO) on April 15th. According to GWP, John Durajczyk who happens to be one of the inviduals involved happens to be the Secretary of the St. Charles County Democratic Committee. The other’s name is Steve Belosi. The two “men” threatened and attacked elderly protesters and shouted down speaker Lt. Governor Peter Kinder during his speech.
Turns out Steve Belosi doesn’t only try and terrorise the elderly. Belosi is a 9/11 Truther, a Code Pink member, belongs to the ACLU, called for the impeachment of George Bush, advocated for Plan B to be sold over-the-counter, AND belongs to the St. Charles Democrats. He also thinks the Republican party should be run out of politics. As a member of Code Pink he was arrested in front of the White House and stated a willingness to be arrested again in the name of civil disobedience arrest.

The latest twist from tickle me Eric Massa is that he gave his chief of staff a $40,000 pay increase. This story leaked out a couple of days ago. According to Fox News, a White House statement Saturday cited hazardous flying conditions posed by the ash cloud from the erupting volcano in Iceland. Obama has canceled plans to travel to Poland for the funeral of President Lech Kaczynski (lekh kah-CHIN’-skee).

PPP‘s monthly look ahead to the 2012 Presidential race finds Obama trailing Mike Huckabee 47-45 and Mitt Romney 45-44, in polling for the 2012 Presidential race. Obama is tied with Newt Gingrich at 45-45, and leads Sarah Palin by only 2% at 47-45. This is the weakest performance Obama’s posted in these 13 monthly surveys and a pretty clear indication that passing health care has not done anything to enhance his political standing, at least in the short term.
