The show must go on I suppose. Of course we all remember how the progressive liberals went ballistic when sat for an extra 7 minutes with school children during 9/11. Apparently the Times Square bomber didn’t warrant much attention from Obama as he was notified 34 minutes before performing his “comedy routine” at the White House Correspondence Dinner. The USA Today blog documents the series of events:
At 9:30 p.m., the White House Situation Room notified the national security staff that an apparent car bomb had been discovered in Times Square.
At 10:04 p.m., President Obama began his address to the White House Correspondents Association Dinner in Washington, completing them at 10:21 p.m.
At 10:44 p.m., Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John Brennan spoke briefly about the incident with David Cohen, deputy commissioner of intelligence, New York Police Department.
Good to see the President is really taking our national security seriously. I’m surprised he didn’t crack a joke about it at the dinner. Oh that’s right, the “Daily Show” already had his jokes pre-written.
Obama’s Department of the Interior chief of staff Tom Strickland was white-water rafting in Grand Canyon while the oil leak spread in the Gulf of Mexico
Maybe this is the reason why it took this regime over a week to bother dealing with the oil rig explosion and subsequent oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. According to ABC, Department of the Interior chief of staff Tom Strickland was too busy white-water rafting in the Grand Canyon with his wife last week as the oil leak continued to spread. While reporting on this news, Jake Tapper of course tries to cover the backs of the department by claiming other leaders of the Interior Department were “focused” on the Gulf. But Strickland’s participation in a trip that administration officials insisted was “work-focused” raised eyebrows among other Obama administration officials and even within even his own department. So expect Strickland to be thrown under the bus soon.
Faisal Shahzad was on Homeland Security List Since 1999 yet he was still naturalized
This is insane! According to CBS (who is still recovering from their depression that the terrorist was a Muslim) the attempted Square bomber Faisal Shahzad has been on the Department of Homeland Security travel lookout list – Traveler Enforcement Compliance System (TECS) since 1999! The reason is because he brought approximately $80,000 cash or cash instruments into the United States. TECS is a major law enforcement computer system that allows its approximately 120,000 users from 20 federal agencies to share information. The database is designed to identify individuals suspected of or involved in violation of federal law.
Feds knew about Faisal Shahzad in 2004

George LaMonica, a 35-year-old computer consultant, said he bought his two-bedroom condominium in Norwalk, Conn., from Mr. Shahzad for $261,000 in May 2004. A few weeks after he moved in, Mr. LaMonica said, investigators from the national Joint Terrorism Task Force interviewed him, asking for details of the transaction and for information about Mr. Shahzad. It struck Mr. LaMonica as unusual, but he said detectives told him they were simply “checking everything out.
Another progressive liberal bites the dust – David Obey won’t seek re-election
David Obey was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1969, finally he is leaving D.C. Politico describes him as “Bone-tired and facing a tough political landscape at home”, boo facking hoo. Must be quite draining screwing over the American people all those years. Obey’s decision to retire is big in more ways than one. Rarely does a committee chairman of such power just walk away. Obey’s decision is both a blow to Democrats and marks the passing of one of the last major leaders of the 1970’s reforms that reshaped the modern House. Obey is/was the chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.
“I am ready to turn the page, and frankly, I think that my district is ready for someone new to make a fresh start,” Obey said in an afternoon press conference in his committee’s meeting room.
Faisal Shahzad was an anti-Bush anti-Iraq war progressive!
You know what progressive liberals say about teaparty members. They are all white, conservative and racists right? None of them are Democrats or independents according to progressives. So by using the same “logic”, I think we can now conclude that failed NYC bomber Faisal Shahzad was a progressive liberal! According to the AP he hated George W. Bush (just like progressive liberals) and hated the Iraq War (just like progressive liberals). According to the AP story, Igor Djuric represented Faisal Shahzad when he was buying a home in 2004. Djuric says he could not remember the exact words but said Shahzad made clear he didn’t like Bush or his policy in Iraq. Djuric says Shahzad also asked him if he was Muslim.
Democrats (DSCC) now using BP Gulf of Mexico oil spill tragedy to beg for money
How low can Democrats go? I don’t know if their is a basement they will ever reach. The latest pathetic example of Democrats is their attempt to make money off the 11 deaths from the BP oil rig explosion and subsequent oil spill. Gateway Pundit posted a copy of the e-mail that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) sent to supporters as fundraising plea to: “Help President Obama hold BP accountable.” Democrats are shamelessly politicizing a tragedy that resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals.

67% of those polled hate the idea of a European style VAT tax
More than two thirds of Americans oppose the imposition of a Value-Added Tax, according to a new poll released Tuesday (via the Daily Caller) which also shows that voters, by a two-to-one margin, think the government needs to rein in its rate of spending.
“Voters think a VAT is a bad idea by 67 to 21 percent,” says the polling memo written by veteran Republican strategist Ed Gillespie, for the group Resurgent Republic.
The poll of 1,000 likely voters found that even among Democrats, 53 percent think a VAT is a bad idea, versus 31 percent who think it’s a good one. Among Independents, 67 were opposed and 19 were in favor, while 82 percent of Republicans opposed the European-style consumption tax, with 12 percent in favor.
MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer is sorry Times Square car bomber is a Muslim and not some whitey
You know the progressive liberals were praying (or whatever they do since praying is like wrong or something) that the car bombing suspect in New York’s Time Square was some white guy. They could have immediately assumed he was tea-party member and all the “anger” stirred up by Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, etc contributed to his actions. Even if the guy had a communist manifesto, or hated Bush they would have still falsely linked the guy with the tea party. As it turned out to very little surprise, the suspect was a Muslim. A Pakistani-American named Shahzad Faisal much to the dismay of D-Baggers all across the country. This includes MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer who was really saddened that it turned out to be a Muslim and not some white guy.

Obama drips with more class and says: GOP Opposition to Stimulus ‘Helped to Create the Tea-Baggers’
Now that Obama has used the famous sexual connotation “tea-baggers” it should be blatantly obvious that progressive liberals either dream of teabagging or simply project on to others what they wish they were doing. According to (surprisingly) ABC and Jake Tapper, three days after Obama decried the lack of civility in American politics, Obama was quoted in a new book about his presidency referring to the Tea Party movement using a derogatory term with sexual connotations aka “tea-baggers”. In Johnathan Alter’s “The Promise: President Obama, Year One,” President Obama is quoted in an November 30, 2009, interview saying that the unanimous vote of House Republicans vote against the stimulus bills “set the tenor for the whole year … That helped to create the tea-baggers and empowered that whole wing of the Republican Party to where it now controls the agenda for the Republicans.” Tapper apparently is trying to play both sides now since Obama’s popularity is in the toilet and is now getting hammered by left wing bloggers.
Tea Party activists loath the term “tea baggers,” which has emerged in liberal media outlets and elsewhere as a method of mocking the activists and their concerns.
On Saturday, the president delivered a commencement address at the University of Michigan where he said one way “to keep our democracy healthy is to maintain a basic level of civility in our public debate … But we can’t expect to solve our problems if all we do is tear each other down.”
The book also describes many of the president’s top advisers cautioning him against trying to tackle health care reform in the first year because it might be too much to take on at the same time as the recession.
“‘I begged the president not to do this,” White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel says.
“They’ll give you a pass on this one,” Vice President Biden told the president.
Suspect in Time Square car bomb case identified as Pakistani-America Shahzad Faisal and arrested!
There has been an arrest in the New York Times Square car bombing attempt. The suspect arrested is a Pakistani-American named Shahzad Faisal. Doesn’t exactly sound like a tea partier name, but what do I know. Also a bit amazing how the suspect goes from some “white guy in his 40s” to a Pakistani National. The lame stream media’s dream of this terrorist being some white, teabagging redneck has been crushed once again. This must really pain NBC to post about the deals of this Muslim too. Though is it really any surprise this story was leaked to NBC first from the Obama administration? The officials said Shahzad Faisal was a Connecticut resident who paid cash weeks ago for the SUV parked in Times Square on Saturday and rigged with a crude propane-and-gasoline bomb. New York City progressive liberal Mayor Michael Bloomberg says someone who doesn’t like ObamaCARE is responsible bombing attempt
Another day, another new low for progressive liberals. Despite the fact that the bombing suspect has been identified as a person of interest in Saturday night’s car bomb attempt in New York City’s Times Square, the progressive liberal filth Michael Bloomberg is already placing false blame. The person is a naturalized American citizen who was in Pakistan for several months and returned to the United States recently, investigative sources told Fox News, though the person’s identity has not been made public. Police, meanwhile, have interviewed the registered owner of the bomb-laden sports-utility vehicle but say he is not a suspect. CBS News reports that the man told investigators he recently sold the vehicle on Craigslist for $1,300 to someone who looked “Middle Eastern” or “Hispanic.” The buyer reportedly paid in $100 bills. Does this sound like some “teabagger” who is against ObamaCARE or a radical Islamic extremist? That didn’t stop NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg from tells CBS’ Katie Couric that the Times Square car bomber was someone who is “mentally deranged” with a “political agenda” that didn’t like the health care bill. The chickens are coming home to roost! First it was Goldman Sachs, now its BP. In 2008, according to Open Secrets, BP gave Obama $71,051 in political contributions. This is nearly double what they gave to John McCain who received $36,649.
Arnold Schwarzenegger ends support for offshore drilling in California
RINO BABY RINO! Why am I not surprised? Tell don’t tell me you are either. Arnold Shriver, err Schwarzenegger on Monday withdrew his support of a plan to expand oil drilling off the California coast, citing the massive oil spill that resulted from a drilling rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico. According to Yahoo/AP the announcement assures that no new drilling will take place off the California’s coastline in the foreseeable future because Schwarzenegger would have to include the drilling proposal in his May revision of the state budget. It’s time for Schwarzenegger to change his catch phrase from “I’ll be back!” to “I’ll back down!” I’m so glad he’s not able to run for another term. Of course, any of his replacements, whether it be Brown, Whitman or Poizner are not exactly an improvement either.

But to watch someone else do it on another network, where he looks like a deer in the headlights is even better. This is what happens when you are on a show where your stupid ideas can actually be challenged. Philadelphia Department of Human Services threatened to take away the teen’s other child if she didn’t get late-term abortion
A Philadelphia Department of Human Services caseworker pressured a pregnant Mayfair, PA teenager to undergo a late-term abortion by threatening to take away either her toddler or her unborn baby if she had the child, according to the teen’s foster mother. According to the Philadelphia Daily News, the “alleged” strong-arm tactic happened one day after DHS learned of the pregnancy, when the girl was about 22 weeks pregnant, according to her foster mother and the girl’s social worker, Marisol Rivera. The foster mother did not want to be identified in order to protect the girl’s identity. The Daily News also learned that:
* DHS got a Family Court judge’s order allowing it to take the girl for an abortion, after the girl’s birth mother refused to approve the procedure.
* By the time DHS arranged for the abortion – in March – the girl was 24 weeks pregnant. She had to undergo the procedure in New Jersey because abortions in Pennsylvania are illegal at 24 weeks.
* Although it is DHS policy that a DHS worker accompany any minor who has a court-ordered medical procedure, this did not happen on the girl’s first attempt to have the abortion. That attempt failed when the clinic wouldn’t accept her Medicaid card and wanted cash, according to the foster mother. A DHS worker did accompany the girl on a later, successful, attempt.
* Rivera, the girl’s social worker, said that she was fired by Concilio, which subcontracted with DHS to provide care, after she initially refused to accompany the teen for the abortion.
“They hired me to work in child protection, not to kill children,” Rivera told the Daily News.
DHS officials said that they could not discuss the case because of medical-privacy laws. Attempts to talk to the teenager were unsuccessful.

According to the Washington Post, the failed car bombing in Times Square increasingly appears to have been coordinated by several people in a plot with international links, Obama administration officials said.
