Air India flight bursts into flames after overshooting the runway on a flight from Dubai, more than 160 people have died
Ugh! This is terrible! A plane crash in western India early Saturday has killed more than 160 passengers, an Indian official said. According to CNN, V.S. Acharya, the home minister of India’s Karnataka state, told CNN-IBN he thought about five or or six people had survived the crash, but more than 160 people are dead.

The evening included a photo exhibit of needy Guatemalan urchins shot by photographer Mia Baxter and chef/Food Network personality Dave Lieberman. As Bush, who helped organize the event, began discussing her recent visit to Guatemala as a Unicef ambassador, a male guest began swearing about ending the war in Iraq. He was escorted out and Bush, unrattled, continued her remarks.

Top ICE Official John Morton says feds wouldn’t process illegals sent by Arizona
A top Department of Homeland Security official reportedly said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities. According to Fox News John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, made the comment during a meeting on Wednesday with the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune, the newspaper reports.
“I don’t think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution,” Morton told the newspaper.
Maybe Rachael Maddow should ask Robert Byrd why he voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964
I know the old KKK Democrat is barely coherent these days, but after Rachael Maddow asked Rand Paul about his thoughts on the 1964 Civil Rights Act and now progressive liberal nuts are complaining that Rand Paul is a racist, what about Robert Byrd? You’ll never hear the fact from the media and hacks like Maddow that Byrd was a former KKK member, and has used the term “niggers” routinely. Now its been revealed that he voted against the Civil Rights Act in 1964. Surprised? You shouldn’t be considering his history. Yet why doesn’t the media, especially Rachael Maddow think this is important enough to ask Byrd why he voted that way? Maybe Maddow or someone else should also ask Al Gore why his father Albert Gore, Sr. (who was a Senator at the time) also voted the same way as Byrd did in 1964. Nah, that makes far too much sense. They could also ask Obama why he appointed Alan Simpson to his “debt commission.” If Obama is so concerned about civil rights and racial profiling, why appoint the son of then Senator Milward L. Simpson who voted against the Civil Rights act as well? Maybe Maddow or other media hacks could also question Byrd about this 2001 interview in which he repeatedly used the term “White Nigger”

With the DOW dropping 376 points today and nearly 900 points for the month, what a better way to re-ignite market confidence then with a corrupt Chris Dodd bill to takeover Wall Street! Scott Brown who claimed he was a conservative, who claimed he would be the vote against the ObamaCARE health care takeover showed his true colors today voting for cloture on the bill becoming the needed 60th vote. Scott Brown is proving what critics and even some progressive liberals said all along. He’s no conservative, he’s simply an opportunist who beat a really weak candidate. Scott Brown is nothing more than the male version of Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins. I guess that’s what I get for donating to this fraud. CBS has more:
Counter-Terrorism Chief John Brennan calls Jerusalem “Al-Quds”
So now the administration has taken appeasing Muslims to a brand new level. Before I saw the following video of Counter-Terrorism Chief John Brennan once again sucking up to Muslims and calling Jerusalem “Al-Quds” I had never heard of the term. Apparently, Al-Quds is the Arabic translation of Jerusalem! Maybe it’s because i’m not an “educated” progressive who went to an ivy league school, but anytime I’ve heard anything about Jerusalem, its always been called Jerusalem, and not translated to Arabic. And in what I’m sure is completely un-related, according to Wikipedia, the al-Quds Brigades (in Arabic, Saraya al-Quds) is the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Especially active in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, the al-Quds Brigades are reportedly receiving orders from the PIJ leadership in Damascus, Syria.

Well it wasn’t only House Democrats. It was also the Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder who has admitted that he hasn’t even bothered reading the law either! So did Janet Napolitano who has also admitted to not bothering the reading the law! I guess in this day and age I should expect nothing less from the communist progressive liberals in charge of this country. The ironic thing about Calderon’s whining about the Arizona law is that in Mexico if you are caught in the country “illegally” you get thrown in jail for 2 years. If you get caught a second time, you get 10 years! But somehow, that’s more lax than the Arizona law I guess. All we need next is Hugo Chavez or Ajad to come and speak before the House of Representatives next and whine about the law. Calderon said, “I strongly disagree with the recently adopted law in Arizona.” When he said that, virtually all of the Democrats in the House Chamber stood and applauded him, including Nancy Pelosi, Vice-President Biden, and the assembled Cabinet. Notice Attorney General Eric Holder hesitantly standing at the 23 second mark of the video. Holder admitted earlier this week he has not yet read the law, even though he has been critical of it.
Calderon accused the law of pushing “racial profiling,” which is patently false. The law explicitly prohibits racial profiling. But truth means nothing to people like Calderon and those on the Left seeking to push their radical agenda.

After today’s 376 point loss in the Dow, and more than 900 point loss so far for the month of May, you would think most people (at least non-progressive liberals) would realize that the problems in Europe could easily hit America if not within a few years, then a few months. Finally someone at the Fed comes out and admits it. According to the AP, Federal Reserve Governor Daniel Tarullo, in remarks to a House subcommittee, said the timing of Europe’s problems on the heels of the global financial crisis is a “potentially serious setback.” Europe’s debt crisis poses serious risks to the unfolding economic recoveries in the United States and around the globe, a Federal Reserve official said Thursday.

With all the talk in the lame stream media and progressive nuts around the ‘net claiming Rand Paul’s primary win over Trey Grayson assures the Senate seat will go to Democrats once again are looking like idiots. Rand Paul, riding the momentum of his big Republican Primary win on Tuesday, now posts a 25-point lead over Democrat Jack Conway in Kentucky’s U.S. Senate race. Obviously there is a long way to go between now and November but for such a “weak” Republican candidate against such a “strong” Democrat candidate, these numbers should be a nice slap in the face to progressive liberals. Fatal shooting outside MacDill Air Force Base in Florida
Uh oh! According to Wire Update News, a person was shot dead outside MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday evening, authorities say. The base is also home to the U.S. Central Command (CentCom). Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to the Dale Mabry gate of MacDill Air Force Base at 6.47 p.m. Eastern time. “Rescuers are on scene at this time as are Tampa Police and Base Security,” a spokesman said. Tampa Fire Rescue paramedics determined the victim was deceased on scene, and Tampa Police and Base Security are investigating the incident. Will post more as this develops. At the time of this posting (which is at least 30+ minutes after it happened) NO network is covering this! Not even Fox News. But what else would you expect with Shepard Smith?

Congress about to limit political free speech of bloggers – with the DISCLOSE Act
The nutty Glenn Beck sounds about some of his conspiracy theories, the more he turns out to be a prophet. One of the things Beck has been railing on and on about is how the administration and Congress don’t need the Fairness doctorine in order to monitor and censor press and Internet blogs that they don’t deep as “acceptable”. Well guess what? According to Reason.com a congressional hearing exposed an effort to give another agency—the Federal Election Commission (FEC)—unprecedented power to regulate political speech online. At a House Administration Committee hearing last Tuesday, Patton Boggs attorney William McGinley explained that the sloppy statutory language in the “DISCLOSE Act” would extend the FEC’s control over broadcast communications to all “covered communications,” including the blogosphere. The DISCLOSE Act’s purpose, according to Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chair Chris Van Hollen and other “reformers,” is simply to require disclosure of corporate and union political speech after the Supreme Court’s January decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission held that the government could not ban political expenditures by companies, nonprofit groups, and labor unions.
