Charlie Crist crumbling – Trails Marco Rubio by 8 points
After abandoning the Republican party for self interest to run for U.S. Senate, Charlie Crist received a bounce in the polls that actually showed him leaded Marco Rubio by a few points in the polls. Well so much for that. New numbers from Rasmussen suggest that not only is the bounce gone but he is tumbling in the polls fast! A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in Florida finds Republican Marco Rubio with 39% support, while Crist earns 31% of the vote and Democrat Kendrick Meek trails at 18%. Twelve percent (12%) are undecided. Two weeks ago, just after Crist announced that he was running as an independent, he held a 38% to 34% advantage over Rubio.
California Penal Code Section 834b sounds a lot like Arizona’s anti illegal-immigration bill minus no racial profiling! Hypocrites!
All the boycotts of Arizona called for by California cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego are not only pure stupid, but turning out to be quite hypocritical as well. I’m hoping Arizona decides to boycott California as they continue to dig themselves into a ditch of debt they may never recover from. We know these big cities in California are sanctuary cities when it comes to illegals, just like Phoenix has been for many years. But you might be interested to know what the actual law in California really is:
(a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully
cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization
Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is
suspected of being present in the United States in violation of
federal immigration laws.
(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected
of being present in the United States in violation of federal
immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the
following:
(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen
of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent
resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time
or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of
immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not
be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and
place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding
documentation to indicate his or her legal status.
(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien
who is present in the United States in violation of federal
immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal
justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or
leave the United States.
(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United
States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal
status and provide any additional information that may be requested
by any other public entity.
(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city,
county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with
jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent
or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly
prohibited.
Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou threatens to sue US for their financial meltdown
Of course the Greece implosion is America’a fault! Isn’t it always? If you asked our “President” or his collection of Marxism loving nutjobs, they would also tend to agree. So why is not such a surprise that The Hill reports that Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said he is considering suing U.S. investment banks that might have contributed to his country’s debt crisis.
“I wouldn’t rule it out – this may be a recourse,” Papandreou said in an interview aired Sunday on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” in response to a question about whether he is considering taking legal action against U.S. banks. “But we need to let the due process proceed and we need to see the results of the investigations.”

Whitman was a big contributor to Barbara Boxer over the years, doesn’t support Arizona’s anti illegal immigration policy and is another environmentalist wackjob. Yet somehow this compared to Reagan? 2,000 liberal actors accuse Obama of “War Crimes, Worse Than Bush” For Authorizing Assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki
According to the AFP via Weasel Zippers, US actors and so called liberal intellectuals joined a list to be published Friday of nearly 2,000 people accusing Obama of allowing human rights violations and war crimes.
“Crimes are crimes, no matter who does them,” the statement reads over pictures of Obama and his predecessor George W. Bush due to appear in the New York Review of Books.
As much as I dislike Obama, I got his back on this one. I’m also shocked that the left wing nuts aren’t being the usual hypocrites on an issue. Of course, these 2,000 or so liberal actors and “intellects” is just a fraction of the amount we heard whining about Dubya.

WTF! U.S. apologizes to China for Arizona immigration law
If there’s one thing this administration is good at, aside from deflecting blame away from itself to someone or something else, its apologizing to countries about how “bad” America is. Usually the apologies are reserved for muslim or European countries. So to sort of “spread the apologizing around”, China is now being apologized to because of Arizona’s illegal immigration law! Check out what Michael Posner, the assistant secretary of state, told reporters (via the AP)
Posner said in addition to talks on freedom of religion and expression, labor rights and rule of law, officials also discussed Chinese complaints about problems with U.S. human rights, which have included crime, poverty, homelessness and racial discrimination.
He said U.S. officials did not whitewash the American record and in fact raised on its own a new immigration law in Arizona that requires police to ask about a person’s immigration status if there is suspicion the person is in the country illegally.

About damn time! According to Fox News, BP has announced that they have successfully inserted a mile-long pipe into the leaking pipe in the Gulf of Mexico. BP remains “hopeful” about their latest oil siphon attempt as do the rest of us. That didn’t stop Obama from monitoring the situation though. On Saturday, Obama spent 4 1/2 hours on Saturday playing 18 holes of golf. On Sunday, instead of playing golf and continuing to add to his own record of rounds of golf played, he decided to play basketball instead. One of Obama’s personal lapdogs in the media Mark Knoller tweeted about it.

UC Irvine Professor Mark LeVine – the Jewish Genocide apologist on Hannity with David Horowitz
First a little background on this clown Mark LeVine (NOT Mark Levin). Griff Jenkins of Fox News confronts ‘Call For Revolution’ Santee high school teacher Ron Gochez
The other networks wouldn’t dare even air the video of Ron Gochez calling for a revolution against American by the Mexican people, let alone do any investigative reporting. Instead, Fox News’s Griff Jenkins went to Santee high school to interview the dirtbag Ron Gochez. When interviewed Gochez claims he wasn’t a racist and doesn’t hate all white people. Instead, he just hates the Minutemen, or tea party people, or “anti-immigrant” white people. Gochez the coward of course leaves out the term “ILLEGAL” immigrant to make a blanket statement applying to ALL immigrants. As the interview goes on, Gochez, who is making his money thanks to capitalism admits he is a socialist, furthur proving what a hypocrite he is. Gochez then claims he’s not indoctrinating his students in anyway, yet near the end of the interview admits that the Arizona illegal immigration bill has been a topic of discussion. I’m sure he’s totally remained neutral on the subject during those discussions too. Do you like the idea of this POS teaching your students? Call the Santee superintendent and demand Gochez be fired!

Princeton University’s Daniel J. Linke threatens RedState.com to take down Elena Kagen’s thesis
On Thursday, RedState.com got a hold of socialism loving Elena Kagen’s college thesis. They posted the thesis in PDF format so people could read it. By Friday, RedState.com got a threatening e-mail from University Archivist and Curator of Public Policy Papers Daniel J. Linke to take down the thesis due to copyright violations. RedState has since complied with this request, but that brings up the bigger question. What is Obama/Kagen and Princeton trying to hide? Maybe I don’t know copyright law very well but since is a student’s college thesis considered copyrighted material of the university? Maybe I should read about this on google or something since I’ve never heard of such a thing before. I’ll just be sure not to use any public location WiFi access so Google doesn’t collect my personal info. By now, the thesis is probably floating around the net somewhere so if you are interested in reading about Kagan’s love of socialism that she wrote about, you should try some search engines.

Botox Nancy Pelosi is quite good at providing ridiculous quotes. During this past week according to CNSNEWS, Pelosi said that thanks to the new health-care reform law musicians and other creative types could quit their jobs and focus on developing their talents because the taxpayers would fund their health care coverage.
“We see it as an entrepreneurial bill,” Pelosi said, “a bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care.”

According to Fox News, despite Obama’s pledge for honest budgeting and billions of dollars in stimulus money spent to save teachers’ jobs, the Education Department is asking for off-the-books emergency funding to keep local districts from laying off school teachers next school year. Education Secretary Arne Duncan sent Democratic lawmakers a request Thursday to pass a $26 billion emergency supplemental to fund up to 300,000 teachers’ jobs that he says will otherwise be lost in the fall.

According to the UK Telegraph, Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England, fears that America shares many of the same fiscal problems currently haunting Europe. He also believes that European Union must become a federalized fiscal union (in other words with central power to tax and spend) if it is to survive. Just two of the nuggets from one of the most extraordinary press conferences I have been to at the Bank. But don’t tell progressives that! That might mean cutting spending and reducing the poor’s dependency on government!

Pro-Gun Legislation Signed into Law in Arizona

On Tuesday, May 11, House Bill 2629 was signed into law by Governor Jan Brewer (R). The bill, as amended, was added after we learned that Mohave County was registering guns when someone would check their firearm at a government building. These government buildings were recording owner information and serial numbers of firearms. HB 2629 will make the current actions of Mohave County and any other violating county illegal. If Mohave County continues to illegally register guns, this new law will allow a private citizen to bring suit against the county for violating our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

According to the Richmond Times Dispatch, at the instigation of the American Academy of Pediatrics, federal bureaucrats at the FDA, the Department of Agriculture, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission are studying whether to require the nation’s hot-dog makers to redesign hot dogs to reduce the likelihood of choking. How long have hot dogs been around in their current form? Over a hundred years or so?
