Ron Blackwell chief economist for the AFL-CIO calls Neil Cavauto “Asshole” on live TV

Keeping it classy as a left wing nut ever can, AFL-CIO chief economist Ron Blackwell called Neil Cavauto an asshole on live TV today during “Your World with Neil Cavuto.” While the two of them were arguing about the stimulus and whether or not more spending was needed, Blackwell, like a typical progressive liberal democrat does when losing a debate resorted to vulgarity.

Here’s the transcript from Newbusters:

“I’m answering you right now – these programs did create jobs but not net creation,” Blackwell said. “We lost more jobs because of the recession than were created by these programs. Net, gross – is that a complex idea for you?”

“Ron, you’re the chief economist there,” Cavuto replied. “Where did you get your degree, a baking school? Where are you cooking up these numbers? The fact is we spent a trillion dollars…”

That comment drew an upset response from Blackwell.

“Oh, that’s an insult,” Blackwell said. “Forget about it. You’re a joker – you’re an asshole.”

The two followed up with another series of exchanges, but Blackwell was unwilling to concede the failure of last year’s stimulus to live up to its billing.

“[A]nd we’ve not seen results from that money,” Cavuto said. “And now you’re saying it could have been worse had we not.”

“I just told you that we have seen results,” Blackwell said.

“So your answer to just answering a simple question is to curse at me, or to frame it differently, or to obfuscate the facts, or to ignore the facts with a trillion dollars spent and we haven’t seen any net new jobs and you’re answer is, ‘Well, we have to spend more?’” Cavuto said.

“We lost more jobs because of the recession than we created by these programs,” Blackwell said. “Gross and net – it’s not a complex idea. You should have learned that in high school, Neil.”

Saw the ranting and raving from this AFL-CIO nutcase today, and wondered how many Communist meetings this jerk has attended recently. Have no use for people like him on this planet – actually feel sorry for him for his twisted one-sided views. He will get his soon.

It is no wonder our country is so screwed up with morons like this in the government. Pure Idiot, No Common Sense. He is better at blowing smoke up people’s asses than being an economist.

This ‘economist’ really has an axe to grind. Telling Neil, ‘look’, ‘listen’, etc. Looking at his bio and dealings with the commie textile unions it’s easy to see that he had a prior last name before he changed it to the more ‘anglo-saxon’ Blackwell.

  • Phil Hoover

It should be pointed out that the first insult was uttered by Cavuto. He didn’t use a dirty word but he certainly made this argument needlessly personal.

You might want to watch the entire interview. Cavuto interrupted his guest multiple times. He apparently didn’t understand simple accounting. Lastly, he insults his guest. “As*hole” would probably be an accurate description.

another Obama crybaby. If they don’t get their way they resort to intimidation. Professors are a wonderful expression of academia. See ya on the golf course ASSHOLE!

  • Uncle Slam

Cavuto interrupted this lying f***face on the grounds the silly bas***d couldn’t or wouldn’t answer any questions. You don’t use a vulgar term like that on the air, but at least it showed the pompous, dimwitted fool for who he really is. Why does the AFL-CIO even need an economist anyway? To keep track of the government handouts they get for doing nothing while overseas workers put forth a greater effort to build a superior product for less expense?

Look up ‘Ron Blackwell’ . Very interesting reading. The man seems to be dedicated to replacing capitalism with world wide labor unions. I think he is an anarchist.

  • Bill Edley

It’s really rather simple. Unfortunately, Mr. Cavuto doesn’t want to understand the concept. Government spending created some jobs, but not enough to overcome the job losses generated by the recession. As Prof. Krugman, Galbraith and others repeatedly said during the stimulas package debate, we needed more ARRA, not less.

What do you Expect?????? Left wingers are pathological liars and fundamentally mentally unstable. Who could be stupid enough to listen to them? Cavuto should not have wasted his time.

  • rochrist`

Wheres the controversy? Cavuto IS an asshole.

Ron Blackwell: In his discussion with Cavuto, the only asshole was the one he made of himself. I imagine that Blackwell and Andy Stern play Lewiinsky and Clinton when they are together..

there isn’t any controversy whether Cavuto is an a-hole rochrist–same way there’s no controversy that you’re one. Neil may or may not be an a-hole, but if he is, then he’s an a-hole who is right. Those of you who support Blackwell and his policies are utterly blind and ignorant to his communist agenda and it’s absolutely amazing that you think MORE spending is what is needed to get us out of this mess. You are the folks, who during a neighborhood house fire and trying to figure out a way to put the fire out, hear Blackwell telling you to put more gasoline on the fire and when it not only doesn’t work BUT MAKES THINGS WORSE, you blame everybody else except yourselves–simply pathetic.
