According to Fox News, Police with shields and clubs earlier pushed back another small group of demonstrators who tried to head south toward the security fence surrounding the perimeter of the Group of Twenty global economic summit site. Some demonstrators hurled bottles at police.

According to the Conservative Examiner, testimony taken at the trial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich indicates that Obama knew of the illegal trade-off for his formerly-held U.S. Senate seat. Former Blago aide John Harris testified under oath that Obama knew of the shady deal concocted by Blagojevich to get himself a Cabinet post in exchange for appointing Obama top adviser Valerie Jarrett to the U.S. Senate to fill the President’s vacated seat. Even more, the Chicago Sun-Times, says that Blagojevich was confident that Obama knew of his desire to ‘trade perks,’ as Harris asserted in testimony before the Court on Wednesday. Harris stated that after a meeting with top Union officials to discuss the possible appointment of Valerie Jarrett to the Senate, Blago was convinced that Obama was fully aware of the trade-off scheme. This directly contradicts the Obama assertion that he knew nothing of the deal.

No wonder Harry Reid’s own son doesn’t even use his last name in campaign ads. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Nevada shows Sharron Angle earning 48% support, while Reid, the state’s longtime Democratic senator, picks up only 41% of the vote. Sharron Angle carries male voters by nearly 20 points and carries independents by better than two-to-one margin.

According to the Washington Examiner, the House Judiciary Committee voted 15-12 to reject a motion that would have directed the Justice Department to turn over all material related to the job offer, which the White House said was made by former President Bill Clinton and did not involve a paid position.

Peter S. Kaufman, the President of investment bank Gordian Group and head of the firm’s Restructuring and Distressed M&A practice, told me that if he had BP’s ear,
“I’d advise them to explore the option of bankruptcy.”
If he had the government’s ear, he’d tell them to stop berating the company to the point where BP would find it appealing to use bankruptcy to limit its liabilities.

Even with NBC in Obama’s back pocket (more so than the average media hack) because of GE, even with the oversampling for far-left Democrats, Obama is now underwater for the first time in the latest NBC poll! From the network that brought you anchors who get thrills up their legs when he speaks or Brian Williams who bowed to Obama, or simply bathtub boy this proves Obama is in deep doodoo. Only 45% approve of his overall job performance, while 48% disapprove. On the oil spill, only 42% approve of how he’s handled it, while 50% disapprove. Of course NBC still attempts to make the crashing approval ratings a puff piece. The whiner who wrote the article complains about how Obama has been “bruised and bloodied” by the events of the past few months, although not yet knocked down. Certainly he isn’t been “bruised and bloodied” enough to stop playing golf or throwing lavish White House parties though. Lastly, and maybe the most telling stat of this poll is that for the first time in and NBC biased survey more than 60 percent believe the country is on the wrong track. That’s pretty impressive considering NBC’s oversampling of Democrats.

Obama delayed measuring rate of Gulf oil flow for 5 weeks
Now this is really just pathetic. Of course, everything Obama and his band of thugs has done to this point on the Gulf oil spill has been pathetic, so I guess I shouldn’t be shocked. According to NextGov, the federal government delayed by five weeks deploying high-tech sensors that could accurately measure the how much oil was spewing out of the BP well in the Gulf of Mexico because officials thought the well would be capped or shut down within a relatively short time span, according to contract documents the U.S. Coast Guard released on Monday!
