Obama turns his first televised Oval Office message to Americans into a Cap and Trade propaganda speech
Obama’s first televised started out well. That is of course if you aren’t tired of him bragging about Steven Chu Nobel Prize winner He said BP will pay and pointed to the relief efforts already under way and said the government would hold BP responsible. The speech lasted a whole 18 minutes. Nearly half of it ended up being about why we need Cap and Trade! Of course I’m no fan of Obama, but I really expected him to knock this speech out of the park. After all, he is considered such a great “orator” and staring into a teleprompter reading pre-prepared words seemed to be something perfect for Obama to nail. Turns out this was one of the worst speeches ever. No solutions were mentioned, only the cap and trade bs and yet another special commission.

According to Michelle Malkin, the remark was made at a Saturday Democratic breakfast and was initially reported by blogger Dru Smith Fuller. Sontany acknowledged the statement when asked and described it as “a glib, off-the-cuff remark” that “was inappropriate on my part.”

Obama compares Gulf oil spil to 9/11 then hits the links for 4 hours
Gateway Pundit is one of the best conservative websites available, and definitely one of my favorites. Yet after posting yesterday how Obama compared the Gulf oil spill to 9/11, then decided to go golf for another 4 hours, the Washington Post got offended by Hoft’s post.
Surely even the president deserves — and probably needs — some downtime, even now. Weeks spent clearing brush back at the ranch in Hyde Park might be pushing it. But an afternoon on the back nine doesn’t bother me. And whenever Obama does take a few hours off, there will always be enough going on in the world against which to juxtapose his leisure to enable the Jim Hofts of the Internet to take their cheap shots. It was unfair when Michael Moore did this to George W. Bush. And it’s unfair for Hoft to do it to Barack Obama.
Obama needs some downtime? That’s all he’s had since he’s set foot in office! He’s played more golf in his first 18 months in office than Bush played in 8 years, he’s had his lavish, tax payer funded White House parties nearly every other day. He’s flown off to Europe to apologize for America and beg for the Olympics to come to Chicago, etc.
Iran sending terrorist “aid” flotilla ships to Gaza, Iranian agencies say
According to CNN, an Iranian ship supposedly carrying aid supplies has set sail for Gaza and two others are expected to leave next week, two of Iran’s semi-official news agencies reported on Monday. Iran’s Mehr news agency said that an Iranian ship carrying humanitarian aid left the port of Khorramshahr on Saturday, heading towards Gaza.
“This ship will pass through territorial waters of Oman, Yemen and Egypt before it reaches Gaza. It is said that the ship contains only humanitarian aid and there are no peace activists on board, ” the agency stated.

Take North Carolina’s District 2 House representative Bob Etheridge for example A student had the audacity to ask Etheridge if he supported the president’s agenda. The next thing you know, a WWE match broke out completely instigated by nut bal Etheridge. Does this offend you? You might want to donate or help out Etheridge’s opponent Renee Ellmers’ campaign to get this nut out of office. I’m sure Etheridge will have a good career after politics in wrestling or maybe the UFC.

BP Oil Leak Rate Called 8 Times Worse than first feared
Oil is flowing out of BP’s leak in the Gulf of Mexico at a rate eight times faster than officials previously acknowledged, raising worries that BP’s containment efforts can do little to fight a spill that already may be six times the size of the Exxon-Valdez disaster. According to ABC the initial estimate following the disaster pegged the rate at 1,000 barrels per day. Next, BP and the federal government maintained for weeks that the flow was 5,000 barrels per day. Today a federal task force assigned to examine the rate came up with a far different number — a likely flow of 20,000 to 40,000 barrels per day before the riser pipe was cut. According to the highest estimate, some 87.3 million gallons of crude have leaked into the Gulf so far, far worse than BP and the government’s previous worst-case scenarios.

According to Political Wire, Nikki Haley’s (R) gubernatorial campaign in South Carolina says an internal poll shows her with a commanding lead in her runoff against Gresham Barrett (R). The poll shows Haley leading by a whopping 34 points, 62% to 28%. In Tuesday’s primary Haley finished with 49% while Barrett trailed a distant second with 22%.

The failure continues. Obama’s lowest recorded approval rating to date was at 42% on Rasmussen a few weeks ago. Today, Obama sets a new record for his lowest approval rating ever on Gallup at 44%! He also sets a brand new record for his highest disapproval rating ever recorded on Gallup at 48%. Obama has also set a new record for discrepancy between approval and disapproval at -4%. You would think there would be a news story posted about this at Gallup right? Eh, not so much. Aside from posting the numbers, not one other mention about these new records are mentioned.
National Disgrace! Arlington National Cemetery mismanagement includes burying a service member’s body on top of another!
Army Secretary John McHugh has fired the top two officials overseeing Arlington National Cemetery over allegations of mismanagement, including burying a service member’s body on top of another, Fox News has confirmed. McHugh will announce Thursday that he is replacing Arlington National’s superintendent, John Metzler, and his deputy, Thurman Higgenbotham, who had reportedly illegally hacked into the computer files of a former Arlington employee. Both Metzler and Higgenbotham had come under heavy fire for keeping records of the hundreds of thousands buried at Arlington National in paper files instead of creating a computer database of gravesites.

Sharron Angle leads Harry Reid 50% to 39% in first poll since the primary!
Call it the “post election bounce” or whatever, Sharron Angle now has an 11-point lead over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada’s closely-watched U.S. Senate race. According to a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Nevada, taken Wednesday night, shows Angle earning 50% support while Reid picks up 39% of the vote. Five percent (5%) like some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.

While Greenberg is probably best known for being a political strategist who has advised the Bill Clinton campaigns during the ’90s and being married to the ugly Connecticut congresswitch Rosa DeLauro. But what wasn’t commonly known until Andrew Malcolm of the L.A. Times exposed it, is that Greenberg’s consulting firm was a prime architect of BP’s recent rebranding drive as a green petroleum company, down to green signs and the slogan “Beyond Petroleum.” According to the the story, Greenberg’s company is also closely tied to a sister Democratic outfit — GCS, named for the last initials of Greenberg, James Carville, another Clinton advisor, and Bob Shrum, John Kerry’s 2004 campaign manager.

Well this might explain why Obama hasn’t bothered contacting BP Ceo Tony Hayward. It also might explain why some 50 days later, Obama is still looking for “who’s ass to kick.” According to CNSNEWS, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said that BP, the energy company responsible for the ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, helped craft the bill proposed by Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) that would tax businesses for carbon emissions and raise the cost of fuel for American consumers.
“The problem for Democrats is that debating the Democrat cap-and-trade bill might not fit neatly into the White House messaging plan since it’s been widely reported that a major part, a major part of the Kerry-Lieberman bill was essentially written by BP,” McConnell said on the Senate floor on Wednesday. “Let me say that again. A major part of the Kerry-Lieberman bill was written by BP. This is clearly an inconvenient fact.”

Court records show that 32-year-old Alvin Greene was arrested in November and charged with showing obscene Internet photos to a University of South Carolina student. The felony charge carries up to five years in prison.
Greene said he had no comment when asked about the charge Wednesday and hung up on a reporter. So what do Democrats in South Carolina do? They give him the Democrat nomination to run against Jim DeMint for the Senate in the November general election. Yes, Alvin Greene won the Democrat primary for Senate.
