Obama’s job performance ratings crashing on Gallup – 48% now disapprove
Another day, another record for Obama. Obama has set a new all time high for disapproval ratings on Gallup at 48%. He is still at a record low of 44% approval. Obama’s previous highest disapproval rating on Gallup was 47%. I noticed something very odd on Gallup though. They used to have a summary of Obama’s approval, his highs, his lows, his 52 week average on the right side. Suddenly it’s gone at the time of this post. I wonder why?

According to WDSU, hundreds of fishermen from Lake Charles to Moss Point, Miss., were supposed to get checks from BP on Wednesday (July 7th) but didn’t. Wednesday night, their lawyer wanted answers. Where’s the outrage from the Obama regime?

Octavia Nasr has been dumped by CNN after posting a Twitter message saying that she loved and respected the Shiite cleric the Grand Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, who died on Sunday. Considering how much CNN loves Hamas and terrorists, this came as a bit of a surprise. Nasr left her CNN office in Atlanta on Wednesday. Parisa Khosravi, the senior vice president for CNN International Newsgathering, said in an internal memorandum that she “had a conversation” with Nasr on Wednesday morning and that “we have decided that she will be leaving the company.” Too bad. The New York Times is obviously saddened by this firing and goes on to mention to mention that “some supporters” of Israel seized on the Twitter posting almost immediately. Surely it was only Israel supporters and not just regular Americans who remember that Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah was known best for helping to kill 241 U.S. Marines during the 1983 Beirut barracks bombings

Suddenly West Virginia Gov. Manchin wants a special election in November for KKK Byrd’s seat
Since the old racist pile of trash KKK Robert Byrd died before July 3, Joe Manchin could have had his special election in November for the Senate seat simply by declaring the seat vacant before that date. Instead, Manchin tried to drag it out past that date to make sure he could just appoint someone to fill the remainder of Byrd’s term which expires in 2012. Maybe Manchin has done some internal polling that suggest he could win the seat this November, because now he wants a special election and he wants the seat. The fact that people of WV kept KKK Byrd in his seat for over 50 years, and have another flaming progressive liberal in the other Senate seat suggests Manchin probably could win. According to Fox News, Manchin called on the state attorney general during a Wednesday press conference to address the question. Manchin and most of the Legislature are Democrats, as was Byrd. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito is the GOP’s top contender for the seat. She wants it on the November ballot, and isn’t ruling out running.

White House denies flood assistance to Oklahoma
Either Oklahoma doesn’t have enough golf courses, or it’s too conservative of a state for Obama to give a rat’s a*s about it. Oklahomans affected by last month’s record floods will not receive help from the federal government. According to KOCO, Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry announced in a news release that the White House has denied his request for disaster assistance.This means grant programs from FEMA will not be available to residents. However, the news release said that the state is working to find other ways to help Oklahomans, including attempting to secure Small Business Association low-interest loans.

56% Oppose Justice Department Challenge of Arizona Immigration Law, only 26% favor
With the announcement by the Department of Justice’s lawsuit against Arizona today, a recent Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% of U.S. voters oppose such a challenge. Just 26% believe the Justice Department should challenge the legality of Arizona’s law in court. Eighteen percent (18%) are undecided in the survey. This survey may be a bit outdated though, as it was conducted back on May 26 and 27.
