Far more disapprove than approve of Obama Ground Zero Mosque endorsement
Here is another reason why Obama was so pissy today when questioned about his endorsement of the Ground Zero Mosque. By ALMOST a 2:1 margin, more people disapprove of Obama’s endorsement than support it. According to Gallup’s polling, 37% disapprove of Obama’s endorsement, while only 20% approve. This also breaks down to 32% who strongly disapprove while 16% strongly approve, giving this a 2:1 margin.
When you break this down by party or non-party affiliation, you get pretty much what you’d expect. Only 14% of Democrats disapprove, while 35% approve of the mosque endorsement. Independents disapprove 32% to 21% and Republicans disapprove 68% to 5%.
