James Jay Lee experienced an “awakening” when he watched Al Gore’s documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

al-goreBuried way down in the MSNBC write up of James Jay Lee’s hostage taking at Discovery TV building is an interesting tidbit which lead to the events that transpired today.

Lee said he experienced an ‘‘awakening” when he watched former Vice President Al Gore’s environmental documentary ‘‘An Inconvenient Truth.”

Yes, that’s the only line that mentions Gore at all. But it’s a big part of the story that lead to this nutjob going off the deep end today. Rather interesting isn’t it? I wonder what would have happened if some right wing nutjob ever did something similar and said he had an “awakening” from one of Glenn Beck’s books? Do you think the story line would be a little different?
