Recovery Summer: Unemployment rate spikes to 9.6%

obama-twapSince Labor Day generally marks the “end of summer”, I guess we can still consider today’s news a part of the Obama and the rest of the Marxistcrats “Recovery Summer” plan. For the first time in four months, despite the labor department’s constant fudging of the numbers, the unemployment rate rose in August from 9.5 percent to 9.6 percent.  A total of 54,000 jobs were lost in August. Yet Obama today said “we are moving in the right direction.” I guess that’s why I’ll never understand a progressive liberal Democrat. How is a jump in the unemployment rate, and a loss of 54,000 jobs “moving in the right direction?” According to Fox News, one Republican called the numbers “anemic.” I call it pathetic. But Republicans pointed to the Labor Department report as the latest sign that Obama’s strategy has the economy treading water. I guess next month when more bad unemployment news comes out the first Friday in October, we can call it “Recovery Fall”?

“They passed their trillion-dollar stimulus bill 18 months ago … The American people don’t want another pep talk — they want another approach,” Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., House Republican Conference chairman, told Fox News. “They want to see this administration abandon this policy of more spending, more bailouts and more small-ball boutique tax incentives.”

    When Barry says he the country is moving in the right direction, he firmly believes that is true. That is because he wants our country to be like a 2nd rate European country, with an economy that has one foot in the hole and the other on a banana peel.
