Obama: “Mexicans” Were Here “Long Before America Was Even An Idea”

obama-constitutionYet again, Obama like most progressives have a big problem with history. As Obama was pandering to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and pandering for the Hispanic vote, he claims in the following video that “Mexicans” were here on the America continent long before “America was even an idea.” Problem again with progressive history is that Mexico declared its independence on September 16, 1810 and was recognized on September 27, 1821. One thing progressives REALLY hate is that America declared it’s independence in 1776. Maybe this is just some sort of progressive/Obama math or something.

In 1789 the USA were made of the 13 original colonies on the east coast, the rest was unclaimed land. The USA declared its independence in 1776 and Mexico in 1810 (Recognized in 1821). Everybody has to agree up to that point. But Texas became a state in 1845, California in 1850 and Arizona and New Mexico in 1912. So, yes, there must have been Mexicans in that area of what WOULD become the USA long before the country became what it is today. Nobody knew in 1776 that the USA would occupy the whole land from ocean to ocean.

@Elzevir So what? Is everyone in the world supposed to give back all to the land they ever took? Get over it. Nations conquered other nations since time immortal. History isn’t pretty or sweet, but you cannot go back and hit reset. Spain conquered Mexico, they fought back and kicked out Spain. We kicked out Mexico and took over the southwest. No one is innocent. Who do you think is doing better these days…Mexico or Texas? The problem is while many still want to come and be part of our nation, many want to come here and then enforce their broken culture upon us.

@Elzevir, yeah and my Cherokee, Nez Perce ancestors were here before the Mexicans. And they were NOT called Mexico back before 1810, they were called either the Spanish, or one of many tribes in modern-day Mexico. America wasn’t the word as it is today, until before 1775. Mexico wasn’t the word as it is today (Same exact words as above), until before 1810. So Mexicans WERE NOT in any part of the USA until 1810. Because that would literally be impossible. That would be as if saying “When time started there were Americans and Canadians”.
