League of Women Voters Progressive liberal moderator of Joe Walsh/Mellisa Bean debate refuses to allow Pledge of Allegiance, crowd does it anyway!

This may be a good reason why Mellisa Bean tried to avoid debating Joe Walsh for all this time. Mellisa Bean, much like the Marxist progressive liberal League of Women Voters debate moderator don’t want to hear tbe Pledge of Allegiance. To progressives like the moderator, and Bean, this probably sounds like fingernails screeching on a chalkboard (maybe Glenn Beck’s)? Of course, the 8th Congressional District of Illinois covers the northern suburbs of Chicago, so I wasn’t really surprised when i saw that they didn’t want to do the Pledge of Allegiance. What did pleasantly surprise me was the crowd’s reaction. Despite Bean and the far-left moderators best attempts, the crowd didn’t listen and started reciting the Pledge of Allegiance anyway.


This district is listed as “leans Democrat” by both the New York Times and Real Clear Politics, and it is a part of Chicago. But hopefully this little episode will help Joe Walsh beat Bean. The district did vote for Bush in 2000 and 2004, though it voted for Obama in 2008.
