Figures. Charlie Rangel gets a slap on the wrist despote being convicted on 11 of 13 counts of ethics violations

charlie-rangelPretty much what I expected from the Democrats “punishment” of Charlie Rangel. Despite being convicted on 11 of the 13 charges of House Ethics violations, the House ethics committee is recommending a censure of Chuckles. According to The Wall Street Journal the ethics committee lawyer Blake Chisam told the panel on Thursday the senior Rangel’s conduct

“demonstrated a lack of attention and carelessness over a broad range of issues over a lengthy period of time”

Blake Chisam is the ethics-committee lawyer who is serving as prosecutor for Rangel’s disciplinary proceedings. Chisam is also the one who earlier in the week said Charlie Rangel was just “sloppy” in his personal finances and said there was no evidence of corruption by Rangel.
