Don’t you love these classy Democrats? After running up $5 trillion in new debt over their four years in control of congress, and $3 trillion in just the last two years since the Obama regime took over the country, suddenly these far left congress critters are so worried about the deficit? If you listen to New York Congressman Gary Ackerman, Democrats are such fiscal hawks now, that it’s a tragedy to let people who earn their money, actually keep more of it. Ackerman went as far as to say that the Bush tax rate “compromise” is the Republican’s “Wet Dream Act.”
Are you better off than you were two years ago? 51% says they aren’t
According to a new Bloomberg survey (posted as Washington Post), over 50 percent of Americans say they are worse off now than they were two years ago when the Obama regime took office. The same poll also finds that and two-thirds believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. Overall 51 percent say their situation has deteriorated. Only 35% say they’re doing better.

Now lets see how hard Obama will fight his own party. Far left socialist Democrats in the House have voted to reject the “compromise” on tax deal with Republicans in its current form. They insist on raising the death tax among other things, and unless they get it, Pelosi wouldnt even bring it to a vote! Though the vote symbolic, it also reveals that the real party of NO is the Marxist Democrats. CBSNEWS posted what far left Texas rep Lloyd Doggett’s attitude is on the matter:

This is bleeping golden! Lawrence O’Donnell is an admitted socialist, he said as much on a recent episode of his show. Alan Grayson is the outgoing nut from Florida’s 8th congressional district who is a socialist by his actions and votes. The meltdown between both O’Donnell and Grayson was absolutely priceless on tonight’s edition of Last Word. I may need to start watching MSNBC more lately for the pure entertainment value of these progressives in full meltdown. Eight Republicans vote for the amnesty DREAM ACT in the House
The Nightmare Amnesty aka Dream Act passed in the House 216-198, with eight so called Republicans voting for it. The bill now goes to the Senate were most people expect it to fail, but who knows with the current crop of Republicans still in DC. The eight “Republicans” who voted for the Dream Act include the usual suspects like RINO and sore loser Mike Castle, RINO Bob Inglis, and outgoing fraud Joe Cao who also was the only Republican to vote for ObamaCARE.

I’ve stated my position on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. I don’t have problems with gays who want to help serve the country in the military. But i’ve also never been in the military, so I don’t know how those in the military would feel about this. Nor do I think it’s a good idea to make a drastic change like this during wartime. Now the Daily Caller is reporting that Murkowski told reporters that she still has not “made up her mind” if she will support a defense spending measure that includes a repeal of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

One of them is South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint. Calling into the Hugh Hewitt show, Demint announced that he will oppose the tax deal and will vote NO on cloture for the bill.

Very sad news today, which really puts things like politics into perspective. Elizabeth Edwards, estranged wife of John Edwards has lost her battle with breast cancer and passed away. She was 61 years old. The Edwards family released a statement (Image and quote originally posted at WRAL):

Released Gitmo detainees returning to jihad doubles in just the last two years
Obama loves hostage takers, he makes excuses for terrorists, and now he has another excuse for not closing Gitmo right away. According to the Weekly Standard, a new report released today by the Director of National Intelligence’s office says 150 former Guantanamo detainees have either “confirmed or suspected of reengaging in terrorist or insurgent activities.” This report shows a significant increase over previous estimates. Just 18 months ago, the DNI reported that only 37 former detainees were “confirmed or suspected” of returning to terrorism. Seven months later — Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said that number had climbed to 61. Later in 2009, the number climbed to 74, which was exactly double of what the Pentagon earlier estimated.

As i said yesterday, for whatever reason VH1 decided to use dried up hag Kathy Griffin to host their “Divas Salute the Troops.” The show was taped for an audience of servicemen and women at the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar, California. The left wing hag Griffin began her “routine” by bagging on Bristol Palin’s weight while she was competing with Dancing With The Stars. The military men and woman in attendance lustily booed Griffin during the attempted “fat joke.”

But don’t worry, as Mitch McConnell says, earmarks are such a small percentage of the overall spending. As you would expect, most earmarkers are left wing Democrats in Congress, but not all of them. The usual RINO suspects such as Kit Bond of Missouri requested $1 million requested to develop soybeans resistant to a problematic pest. DICK Lugar who I hope gets primaried in 2012 requested $2 million for a new transit transfer center in Lafayette, Indiana. And then there’s the so called fiscal hawk Ron Paul. According to Politico, Ron Paul sought 51 earmarks worth more than $358 million!

Obama gave another press conference this afternoon to explain his reason to the left wing nuts in this country why he caved to the GOP and accepted the extension of the Bush Tax Cuts for two more years. All the noise of opposition to this “deal” has come from the far left, and even last night you could see the media frustrated with Obama’s choice. So today he had to bloviate some more about his decision. Can anyone tell me who the 18 Democrat Senators will be that will actually vote for this tax bill in the first place? Obama was his usual arrogant sell, crabby, and called the GOP “hostage takers”
