Activist Judge in Dane County Wisconsin Judge Maryann Sumi issues temporary restraining order over budget bill

Like we couldn’t see this happening right? Dane County Wisconsin Judge Maryann Sumi is a Democrat, and has once again demonstrated how an activist judge works. According to Fox News, Judge Maryann Sumi issued a temporary restraining order blocking the state’s new and contentious collective bargaining law from taking effect, This is of course a major victory for the union thugs, their death threats, vulgarity and violence.

Sumi’s order was requested by that county’s District Attorney Ismael Ozanne, a Democrat. Ozanne filed a lawsuit contending that a legislative committee that broke a stalemate that had kept the law in limbo for weeks met without the 24-hour notice required by Wisconsin’s open meetings law. The Republican-controlled Legislature passed the measure and Walker signed it last week.

One activist judge accomplished what the 14 fleebaggers and thousands of bussed in union thugs couldn’t. Congratulations!

Maybe Scott Walker should pull an Obama, ignore the activist judge’s ruling and implement the law anyway. Yea, thats really likely to happen

Since when is an open session of a legislature with a published agenda not notice by default? Especially with fourteen legislators abandoning their duty.

When are you going to wake up Americans and take charge and keep these penny antie judges from over-ruling entire legislatures. Since when do they have any say in the matter??? Impeach them>

Once again a liberal judge issues a restraining order to block legislation from being enacted while she really has no power to do so. Scott Walker should do as the article states what Obama has done, implement the law and ignore the court ruling.

why is it that in so many cases it’s always an activist democrat judge stepping in to stop what conservatives or republicans wish to accomplish by stopping their work when we hardly ever see a federal judge with balls enough to put forth the same energy stopping the insane laws coming from the left? if Walker loses on this one, republicans across the country will be mocked and it just won’t do them any good in 2012. what a freakin discrace if they were that stupid not to wait the 24 hrs? what were they and walker thinking? don’t they have the damn brains to consult with their constitutional attorneys?

Just re-vote on the bill giving the prerequisite 24 hour notice, then be done with it. If the Secretary of State doesn’t publish within 24 hours, threaten to have him removed from office.

I always love how the Dems find new ways to circumvent democracy when it suits their purposes and cry like little babies when they have to be subjected (note the fillibuster rules) to them.

    Petty and sad.

The union’s are out of control. One of my friends (d) told me to be very careful of who I’m making my comments to. Said I could get seriously hurt. No he wasn’t threatening me but I’m pretty vocal. I think the uion is turing WI into a communist state! Their telling us who we can contribute money to and who we can’t. If small companies don’t back the union then they’ll be sorry. So teacher’s, etc look at the monster you’ve created. Look at the expense it cost the taxpayers to keep our ‘HOUSE’ safe. I think all of you’ve forgotten what this is all about. Don’t u want your jobs? I know many people that would step right up to the plate and they WOULD NOT want a union. If something happens to me then you’ll all know I was just one more person saying GO GOV. WALKER! There are lots of people behind u it’s just the biased media and unions!

Oh my goodness, when a judge does her job she is called the activist, Democrat judge. I suppose that is exactly what that radical, Republican Governor Tommy Thompson thought when he appointed her in 1998. Let the legal system run its course. Or do you folks complaining about her decision want to have vigilante law and take the law in your own hands? If anything, the Governor and his team believe they own the government and are responsible to only those people who voted them in. These men and women took an oath to protect all 5.5 million people in the state. I, for one, look forward to them standing up for the 5.5. million.

Get a clue. You have a small local Dane county judge usurping her judicial power and thwarting the will of the people and the Legislature. Her and her husband and son are Union activists. She should have recused herself and made no ruling at all. The Demorats from Wisconsin went judge shopping very carefully to get exactly what they got. Now she has been smacked down, and smaked hard deservedly so.
