Obama touted China’s treatment of children in China during state dinner
Child labor? Check. China detaining a 1 month old girl? Check. Obama toasting China’s “treatment of children?” Checkmate! Remember back in January when Obama stupidly hosted a state dinner for China’s President Hu Jintao? According to CNSNEWS, it seems that Obama also toasted and praised Hu Jintao for China’s “reverence of the family” and its “desire to give our children a better life.” HAH!
But in the months leading up to that state dinner, Chinese Human Rights Defenders, a U.S-based group, had repeatedly reported on a 2010 incident in which Chinese officials separately detained a new mother and her one-month-old baby girl—keeping the mother and infant apart to intimidate the mother into undergoing a sterilization procedure.
Oh btw, Chinese President Hu Jintao also serves as secretary general of the Communist Party of China. No wonder Obama and Hu get along so well.
