Obama claims we wouldn’t be a great country without entitlements

obama_carterIt’s the far left way to control you via government. Entitlements are the holy grail for the far left Democrats. So it should be no surprise that Obama claimed America wouldn’t be great without them.


“‘There but for the grace of God go I,’ we say to ourselves, and so we contribute to programs like Medicare and Social Security, which guarantee us health care and a measure of basic income after a lifetime of hard work; unemployment insurance, which protects us against unexpected job loss; and Medicaid, which provides care for millions of seniors in nursing homes, poor children, and those with disabilities,” Obama said. “We are a better country because of these commitments. I’ll go further – we would not be a great country without those commitments.”

    We weren’t doing to bad in the 1900-1930 range, then we decided being an adult was too hard and we needed Mom and Dad to continue to wipe us. Mom and Dad were busy taking care of themselves so we got “big daddy” to take care of us. Entitlements are what have been dragging the economy down over the last 80 plus years. The capitalist economy was able to overcome the entitlements early on but we have ratcheted up the number of entitlements and now even a capitalist system cannot support all the government give aways.
