2008 – Anthony Weiner introduced a bill to create 1,000 new visa slots for foreign fashion models

anthony-weiner4I wasn’t even aware of this, but great catch by Weasel Zippers. Seems back in 2008, Anthony Weiner pulled out a bill in Congress to create 1,000 new visa slots for foreign fashion models. Weiner’s claim at the time according to CBS was that the bill would boost New York’s fashion industry. Back then, no one probably gave the bill much attention. Fast foward to today and Weinergate, and now this bill makes perfect sense!  CBS titled the article:

NY Congressman Hot For Foreign Models


That New York Congressman is of course Anthony Weiner who is still at the center of Weinergate. Little did CBS know how accurate they really were at the time. If he thinks this scandal is going away, he has another thing coming.
