Video: Michelle Obama on 2012 presidential campaign – ‘Fortunately We Have Help From The Media’

michelle_obama-ugly-1Hey, at least ole Mooch isn’t hiding the obvious. During Michelle Obama’s little vacation and safari in Africa, she gave CNN International an “exclusive” interview. I guess she found the find from her busy vacation schedule. The interview was conducted with Robyn Curnow in Botswana and was aired on “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer. Of course, hardly anyone saw it because hardly anyone watches CNN anymore.

ROBYN CURNOW, CNN CORRESPONDENT: The long view, obviously, the bigger picture is what you’re talking about. You’re going on safari here. When you go back home, you’re going to walk into also a pretty dangerous environment, a political presidential campaign, a new presidential campaign. How is the family ready for this? It’s going to be quite vicious, isn’t it? How do you prepare for that?

M. OBAMA: You know, it’s — we’re — we’re ready. You know, our children, you know, could care less about what we’re doing. We work hard to do that. And…

CURNOW: How do you do it?

M. OBAMA: Well, we — fortunately we have help from the media. And I — I have to say this, that I’m very grateful for the support and kindness that we’ve gotten, and people have respected their privacy. And in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband’s policies or what have you, they care about children. And that’s been good — good to see.

It’s amazing when any progressive let alone Mooch or her hubby speaks the truth. So chalk this up to the rarity column. Video and transcript posted by Newsbusters.

    While I agree about the media on their side, in this instance she is referring to the media leaving her children alone. This policy started with Chelsea Clinton, the Bush girls to an extent. I think it weakens our case when her meaning is twisted as she went on to explain. Her comment was about her children.
    I’ll be the first one to hop on their case, believe me, but we must stay true to our principles so when we speak, we are listened to.
