Yet another corrupt New York House Democrat Gregory Meeks being probed for possible criminal charges for his failure to report a $40,000 ‘loan’

democrat-logoThere just has to be something in the water in the loony state of New York. How else does one explain so many corrupt politicians (90% of which are Democrats) that actually get caught? Charlie Rangel, Tickle Me Eric Massa, Chris Lee, Anthony Weiner, and now House Rep. Gregory Meeks. According to the New York Post, Meeks is being probed for possible criminal charges for his failure to report a $40,000 payment from a businessman. Meeks Represents New York slum area of Queens, and is it has a +36 Democrat rating. The seat is safe for Democrats. According to the site, that investigators claim that the payment appears to have been an illegal gift, rather than a loan like Meeks claims. — and not a loan, as he has claimed.

The bipartisan Ethics Committee yesterday announced it would investigate Meeks over the $40,000 he was given by businessman Ed Ahmad in 2007, and it released an investigator’s report that blasted Meeks for being uncooperative with the probe.
