Obama now blaming ATM machines and the Internet for high unemployment
Damn you businesses for getting efficient! It’s all your fault for the high unemployment rate! ATM machines have been around for decades, the Internet just turned 20 years old a few days ago. Yet, it’s these “evil” things that are responsible for the high unemployment in the country.
OBAMA: One of the challenges in terms of rebuilding our economy is – businesses have gotten so efficient, that, uh, when was the last time somebody went to a bank teller? Instead of using an ATM. Or, used a travel agent instead of going online. A lot of jobs out that that used to require people now have become automated.
