Arizona Republican primary February 28, 2012
Like Nevada, there was no real drama with Arizona’s primary. Arizona has a small Mormon population like Nevada, and they helped Mitt Romney to an easy win in this state. The biggest contest on this night was Michigan which Mitt Romney squeaked by and won. Any drama involved this primary was about ten days earlier when Mitt Romney’s state co-chairman Paul Babeu came out of the closet and admitted he was gay. He resigned as Romney’s co-chair after this news was leaked. This primary was also a winner take all for delegates, and Romney won 29.
