There were two losers tonight of the ABC GOP debate. Jon Huntsman for another epic failure, and ABC. George Stephanopoulos proved once again what a pathetic Democrat party hack he is, going back and forth on questions that are so important to Americans such as contraception. Diane Sawyer looked like she was either drunk or stoned or both, and neither liked it whenever a candidate spoke about the failure of the Obama regime. Stephanopoulos also routinely cut off candidates when they dared speak ill of Dear Leader Obama. In my opinion the winner of this debate was Rick Perry on substance, and Mittens Romney because no one touched him. Perry made one mistake that will hurt him with independents and libertarian leaning Republicans, when he said he’d send troops back to Iraq. Otherwise, Perry was on fire. He must have gone to debate school or something since those disaster debates he had late last year.
Here’s the stupid exchange dealing with contraceptions between ABC hack Stephanopoulos and Mitt Romney. Certainly a big issue that will be important come November 6th right?
Newt Gingrich again was the only candidate to own the ABC media hacks. I don’t know why the other GOPers are so timid and refuse to call out the media.
There was also a good exchange between Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich stemming from Paul’s calling Gingrich a “chicken hawk.” I’m hardly a Ron Paul fan, but I thought he destroyed Gingrich in this exchange over the whole “deferment issue.” Ron Paul claimed Gingrich sought military deferments to avoid serving in the Vietnam War. His excuse was he had a wife and a child. Gingrich denied seeking deferment:
“Dr. Paul has a long history of saying things that are inaccurate and false,” Gingrich said. “The fact is, I never asked for deferment. I was married with a child. It was never a question. My father was, in fact, serving in Vietnam in the Mekong Delta at the time he’s referring to.”
Then Ron Paul fired back:
“When I was drafted,” Paul said, “I was married and had two kids, and I went.”
Chalk that up for Doctor Paul.
