CNN Florida GOP debate – Rick Santorum hits a grand slam, Newt Gingrich strikes out looking
I was really looking forward to the debate tonight. I was anxious to see Newt Gingrich tear Mittens and Wolf Blitzer to shreds like he did John King and Juan Williams. But much like the silenced debate on NBC on Monday, Newt Gingrich didn’t seem to have the passion. He got one small attack in on Wolfy, but it was weak. He went after Mittens, and Mittens was able to flip flop the attack back on Gingrich. Rick Santorum was the clear winner of this debate in my opinion, and I think Ron Paul was second behind him.
If the recent polls out of Florida are accurate, it’s not looking good for Newt in Florida.
Rick Santorum had one of the best moments of the night after Mittens and Gingrich were arguing over Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae.
As I said, I though Ron Paul did very well, and I’m not a Paul fan. This was one of his best lines of the night, when the question about Gingrich’s “lunar colony” came up. Paul said politicians, not astronauts (video from Daily Caller).
