Mitt Romney barely edges Ron Paul to win Maine caucuses

I kind of figured Mitt Romney would win the Maine presidential caucuses. It’s a Northeastern state, their two Senators the Maine Twins are Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe, and has voted Democrat for President in every election since 1988. So it only seemed natural that Romney would win the state. He won it in 2008 also. Ron Paul  only trials Romney by a couple hundred votes. The voter turn out was miserable again. Rick Santorum came in third and Newt Gingrich was dead last.

Romney also won the CPAC 2012 straw poll earlier in the day for being “severely conservative.”
