Well Mitt Romney was declared the winner of the Iowa caucuses originally by a whopping 8 votes. Then weeks later after a recount it was learned that Rick Santorum actually won the Iowa Caucuses and Mittens was second. Now Mitt Romney may be stripped of “winner” status in the Maine caucuses. According to CBS, Maine GOP officials are now engaged in a recount. As mentioned a few days ago, numbers have already changed, but the Maine GOP refused to make them public. The whole thing revolves around the rescheduled Washington County caucus, which Paul claims he won big. Apparently it wasn’t counted last week when it postponed due to bad weather.
Like the Iowa caucuses, this is non-binding.
