Rick Santorum wins Louisiana GOP primary
Rick Santorum has been declared of the Louisiana Republican primary. This one isn’t even close. The various networks called this primary for Santorum right when the polls closed. If Rick Santorum can crack 50% of the vote tonight, he will get all 20 of the eligible delegates, otherwise, the delegates will be split proportionally. Based on reports of exit polls, Rick Santorum is going to get anywhere between 45-50% of the vote tonight. Mitt Romney will come in second, Newt Gingrich third, and Ron Paul last.
Update: Since Santorum just missed cracking to 50% mark in Louisiana, he will get 13 delegates and Romney will get 7.
