52 percent of independents say Obama has over-politicized Osama bin Laden killings, only 36% disagree
Here’s yet another thing that has backfired in Obama’s face. His spiking the football over the Osama bin Laden one year later is being overdone. Unless you are some tree hugging liberal who worships the ground Obama walks on, you probably already realize this. Independent voters seem to agree. By a margin of 52% to 36%, they think Obama has over-politicized the Osama killing.
While the president promised after last May’s takeout of bin Laden that the administration wouldn’t “spike the football” in celebration, many think it has done exactly that for the one-year anniversary of the mission.
A total of 52 percent of independents think the White House has over-politicized the anniversary, while 36 percent think the response has been “about right.”
