North Carolina voters overwhelmingly approve constitutional amendment defining marriage as between man and a woman
Hey, I thought North Carolina was a blue state now and Obama would carry it with ease in November? Apparently North Carolina isn’t as liberal as some hacks and pundits had hoped, as over 1.3 million voters overwhelmingly approved a state constitutional amendment that will define marriage as between a man and woman. If you are into the social conservative thing, this is good news. I personally don’t really care one way or another, other than to see how voters in a state will go for certain ideological measures. At the time of this post, with 1.3 million votes cast, 61% voted for the amendment, 39% voted against. It’s a landslide.
