As expected, Mitt Romney wins Texas Republican primary – clinches GOP nomination – Ted Cruz and David Dewhurst to have July runoff election
I kind of expected Ron Paul to do a little better than his 10% or so he’s been polling at since results started trickling in, but no one expected Mitt Romney to lose the Texas GOP primary, and he didn’t. At the time of this posting with about 22% of the vote in, Romney has about 71% of the vote winning the primary. The biggest battle tonight is Texas though was the GOP Senate primary between Ted Cruz and RINO David Dewhurst. Dewhurst will NOT crack 50% of the vote tonight, and will be forced into a July 31st runoff election with Ted Cruz.
