After golf, Obama calls Mohamed Morsi to congratulate him and claim the U.S. would stand with Egypt

obama-muslim-turbanSo not only did Obama rush out a congratulatory statement just minutes after Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi was declared the winner of Egypt’s presidential election, but he even got a special phone call from Obama after yet another round of golf to congratulate him! On top of that, he even said to Morsi that the US will stand with Egypt. Obama even called the Muslim Brotherhood candidate’s victory a “milestone” for democracy. Why am I getting flashbacks to the 1970s when Iranians overthrew the Shah and the Ayatollah rose to power?

President Obama called Morsi Sunday evening, telling him that the United States would stand by Egypt in its transitional period — and said that he looked forward to working together.

    lol, he only seems to call to congratulate the MB or the lefties that win, like Hollande in France.  what a joke.   and the center-right regimes in middle east are overthrown but the real enemies like syria and iran remain.  coincidence?

    Perhaps Obama will stand with Egypt, but President Romney will decide where we stand with Egypt when he takes his oath of office.  One term for Obama.
