Private sector doing fine! US Retail Sales fall for 3rd straight month – first time since 2008

obama-loony-toonsRemember what Obama said. The private sector is doing fine! And if you are a small business owner, you didn’t built the business yourself. Instead somebody else (aka government) made that happen. But it turns out, that was just another Obama lie. The private sector isn’t doing fine. June saw the third straight month of US retail sales falling. That hasn’t happened since 2008.

Retail and food service sales decreased 0.5% last month to a seasonally adjusted $401.52 billion, the Commerce Department reported Monday. That is the first time since the depths of the recession in 2008 that retail sales have fallen three months in a row.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast a 0.2% rise.
