Gary Harrington of Medford Oregon goes to jail for 30 days – for collecting rain water on his own property

goofy-hussein-obamaI knew Oregon was a loony left wing state, especially with a rat hole like Portland as their main city. But sending a man like Gary Harrington of Medford Oregon to jail for a month for collecting rain water (on his own property)? I don’t think even California or Vermont have such asinine laws.

“I’m sacrificing my liberty so we can stand up as a country and stand for our liberty,” Harrington told a small crowd of people gathered outside of the Jackson County (Ore.) Jail.

Several people held signs that showed support for Harrington as he was taken inside the jail.

Actually a lot of states have these laws, especially in republican held south west states. Its a throw back from when the Army Corps of Engineers were f’n up the country with a bunch of insane hydroelectric projects and is rooted deeply in mining, ranching, and agriculture and their uses of water. This is absolutely mind-blowing though. Water is a basic need for all life and if it falls free from the sky onto a mans roof he damn well should be able to use for fire safety, gardening, drinking or anything he damn well wants. How in Gods name are we supposed live any kind of sustainable lives if we’re not even allowed the rain from the sky?! I’m pissed.

how can this be, seriously. what was the reason given? and hey! I live in Vermont and we are a bunch of gun slinging, no zoning, no building codes or permits, red neck/hippy hybrids. Please don’t put us on this crazy shite list with Cali and evidently Oregon. LOL
