Iowa: Mitt Romney 46 percent Hussein Obama 44%

mitt_romney_2012Only one election since 1984 has gone Republican in Iowa. That was in 2004.  Iowa may go Republican again in 2012 as Mitt Romney now has a two point lead on Obama there.  Unlike the liberal biased polled that over sample Democrats and take polls of registered voters rather than likely voter, this Rasmussen poll is of 500 likely voters which is far more representative of what the numbers will look like on election day.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Iowa Voters finds Mitt Romney with 46% support to President Obama’s 44%. Five percent (5%) prefer another candidate in the race, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
